  14. SPAD XIII Diamond Dick

I know this profile made by the fantastic argentin artist, Ronny Bar. I did one skin for all Escadrille 471 including Lt. Kellog. Only Lansing C. Holden is wainting for a more acurate color research. It's by far the most extravagant Nieuport 27 of Escadrille 471.
  15. SPAD XIII Diamond Dick

Yes, exotic planes are my favorite theme By the way, I'm a Nieuport nuts. Right now I'm researching the Nieuport 27 that was flown by First Lieutenant Lansing Colton Holden. Their Nieuport has a painting pattern I could never imagine for a combat period. He used the Nieuport while serving on Escradrille No. 471 (Second Lafayette Escadrille) which flew in the defense of Paris. I skinned him many years ago (First Eagles 1) assuming the color used would be yellow but I think it's wrong, french blue according to my recent research would be the correct color. I know a B&W photo published in Cross & Cockade (US) Vol. 11 No. 1, 1970 but I don't own that copy. Do you know if there is an color profile of this Nieuport?
