  1. It's great you're happy man, but when quoting posts with images, please edit out the images!
  2. What'd be cool if y'all would move it to the Aviation Forum where such talk belongs. Keep it on topic about the mod, not comparisons.
  3. If you go here, you'll see it's also may be available for ArmA as well. Matter of fact a project I'm working on I would like to snag his ejection seats..... http://www.ofpsacac.net/ I'd have to say flying the Wyvern was fun, too back Naoroki (think that was his handle on the OFP forums) stopped working on it, or just dissapeared, dunno....
  4. There was a USN article on that earlier this year, with some (maybe the same, wasn't looking specifically for that shot now). But I got a really awesome shot of a Rafale touching and going on a carrier (think it was the Enterprise, not sure though) so this is just official I guess. Screw it, it's the Holiday season!
  5. Will be available in "two weeks"
  6. GIMP is just as good, and it's FREE
  7. Plus the Super Hornet buy adds some stuff: - Tanker capability (ARS pod)/support. It's also a save-money scheme since legacy Hornets use the probe and drogue system, whereas the boom system, used only by the USAF with the obvious exception of the RAAF F-111s. Australia really can't deploy F-111s all the time since on probably average deployed tankers were mixed fuel probe/boom system, and then again, when has the RAAF deployed F-111s in support of any NATO led operation?. Plus you can utilize all aircraft in support of NATO operations because everybody else uses the drogue system. While the Super Hornet isn't the best, it's fast becoming more taskable than just a strike or just plain fighter. People tend to get stuck in one plane, one mission syndrome. Besides, why deploy an expensive KC-135 (or whatever they use) for a training op when you can task out a Super Hornet or two? I mean this isn't the Cold War, countries like to be able to get more bang for the buck. And as SayWhat?! mentioned, it's easier to train legacy Hornet pilots because overall yes, the SH is newer, it's similar in training or an "advancement" program which doesn't require too much additional training, which is required for any new fighter = save money. - It's a bomb truck yes, but the F-111 can't carry a few LGBs, a fuel tank, and a couple HARMs, and self defense missiles at the same time. Sure the Super Hornet is never going to match the range or power, but I don't know about you, you can do more with less especially if your plane you're flying can carry more. This isn't Vietnam, it's the 21st century, so conceivably, the Super Hornet could do it's mission, but doesn't require a total escort package, a SEAD package, and a whole airforce to bomb one bridge. Again it's 2007, not 1977. Plus you can argue about the Popeye... couldn't you figure out how integrate it on the Super Hornet? And for the argument sake of clearance issues, the F-4 IIRC can carry them, so can the Super Hornet. Besides, the Super Hornet has a better chance of getting to the target than the Aardvark. - It's new. Sure I don't know what the USN mechanics think of the Super Hornet, but like the F-14, it's old, old and just old. Sure they were great aircraft, but they're old.
  8. I've been thinking about doing a couple, just tied up with another project though.
  9. As well as Mr. Bean, which was better as the show rather than the movie, then again, the movie wasn't bad either. Anyways back on topic, any progress?
  10. Just a counterpoint, 3DSMax isn't something you can buy right off the street and for a cheap price. I mean seriuosly, not many people can shell out a few thousand to get the latest 3D software.. Yes there are torrents, limited use copies (which by the way lasts for a month, so little time to learn what so many already do), but that's of dubiousness in itself, so it's not a valid complaint. However, you can save up, since the average burger flipper makes more than me anyways, so he or she would take a few months, wheareas I'd have to deploy and get shot at, blown up or severely injured to get the kind of money the average worker gets (hell my Mom is going to get $12.50 an hour for pushing pens!), or save for a few years, and by then, it'd still be too expensive. So yah it's all good, but remember sometimes most of the gamers can't also get a job because they're usually under 18.
  11. Don't start with me man, just don't.
  12. Looks nice, though I've preferred Norway though
  13. Keep it on topic and while Silverbolt has issues with spelling, it's not for us to totally make fun of him.
  14. Map B, like to have more than enough reason to fly around
  15. Yeah I didn't notice the JSF-ness until you mentioned it. Any chance of ventral fins?
  16. Well I've decided to go ahead and release the model "as is"... Unfortunately with Yeneciri helping with Black Shark, he's going to be severely tied up, so I figured it would be best, since I'd still like to see this in LOMAC. Anyways, a few requests for those who decide to mess with it. Credits: EricJ - I bought the freaking model, I should get some credit!!! SunDevil - He pretty much worked on it since I don't know crap about modelling. Only thing I ask is any "fnished" models and so on and so forth, and obviously to texture the joker, etc. http://562.50megs.com/LOMAC/Projects/SH.rar Sincerely I hope somebody frees up their time and gets it in the sim...
  17. Go to the Lock On/PilotLogBook and find the "Pilots.xml" file and right click on it, and select "Edit". Find your pilot's name, and in that "block", find "Status". When you're "dead", it's 0, change it to 1, save it, and go back in the sim. After that you'll be alive again ;)
  18. We'll have to see though, Ubisoft has always been somewhat of an issue. The split of Eagle Dynamics is an indication, but then again, that's only for the future to see..
  19. True, but they can leave the ATF alone, I didn't enjoy that arcade game, but LB2 still has a place in my heart though.. I've tried to get JF-18 to work, but too much issues so I'll wait until a real version of that sim comes out..
  20. Saganuay82 has to upload it first, then me or somebody else will approve it.
  21. It's good to go, check the file announcements
  22. I have yeah, but never went back to it. Unfortunately though, there's a great many mods still coming out, and I'm helping Jay with the CENTCOM mod every now and then.
  23. As a JFO, that's just a good thing to know, thanks for the article!
  24. After GRAW2.. no way. The "Tom Clancy Experience" has left me with a bad console taste, even though I'm a strict PC Gamer.
