  1. Been awhile for a reply... but yes here. Just that it appeared that they used the 'winder rails, they replace them and of course use specific ones. Anyways, it works fine in WoI though, other than the subpylon appears under the HARM LAU-88 rail
  2. More than likely in game mechanics it doesn't register as a "threat" and the enemy fighter doesn't jink or drop countermeasures (Yes I know an optically guided weapon won't even "think" about such a thing but talking about AI behavior, not real life tactics).
  3. hehe I guess nobody thought to try it out (to include me!), cool stuff
  4. Say again over, you're coming broken and very unreadable...
  5. Sure thing, much appreciated!
  6. Oh yeah it's great for that, it's not like I use it for knife fighting, so as always thanks!
  7. I know from a prior conversation USAFMTL, but the Sufa... is it just that heavy? Or is the amount of load exceeding it's T/W ratio? Doing tight turns is just seemingly.... not right.....
  8. Yeah but not so much skinning, it's getting the model applied with a map. Right now AmokFloo is of course busy as he is, and he said that for me to get it complete, he can get it into the game, but for the rest, it'd take months, and as you know I'm running out of that..
  9. Actually the GBU-39/40 SDBs work fine for AI, I was doing a CAS mssion earlier and it worked great (see piccie)
  10. Well so far AmokFloo has gotten the gear area redone, and hopefully next week I should be getting it texture mapped. Failing that I may ask somebody but if there are any volunteers...?
  11. The only thing AFAIK the ED team has been privy to is the Ka-50, Kamov was actually quite nice in helping out than more than expected for Black Shark. And please could you reduce the size of your signature image to something around what we got? That's just too big man.
  12. Exactly, the low level recon mission I did in a Kfir was harrowing enough, but with a wingman it would have been really worse!
  13. It's fun to fly no doubt, but it's definitey a beast. Last night I did an anti-shipping run near Beirut, and on the way back took a hit from either a SAM, or an AA-2 Atoll, and managed to neutralize the MIG-21 that was chasing me anyways. So I'm making my approach, and go to extend the airbrake..... not slowing down... extend go outside view and hit it in annoyance but landed safely. Bird's so good that I sent a message to USAFMTL "Hey man I don't think the brake works" Run a CAS mission earlier today and everything works... yeah..

  15. Pretty realistic. However I remember reading one time that a true F-15 pilot laughed at it. Thing is, all the data they have is only open knowledge, and so on and so forth. Personally I have no fault of the sim (well okay, it's not as moddable as other games that's fo sho), so after spending years with it, sure it's not the greatest, but it's something, and prefer it still over most flight simulations. It's more high fedelity, than say the SF series. I like the SF series and it's improving, but so far it's preferable since I can fly alot of planes I'll never fly in LOMAC.
  16. Definitely so far the best for WoI, love this bird!
  17. He does a great job, but sometimes saying "Front, Back, and Go" does wonders for him But in all seriousness thanks USAFMTL, time to go flying.......
  18. Hey don't you mean "ex-interceptor", I mean how much sex did it intercept?
  19. Not only that, but you would probably AFAIK need AESA to target the ground targets as well. Warhead? You can get by with an EFP (Explosively Formed Penetrator) warhead, where it adapts itself to the target type (aircraft, tank, bicycle) in the terminal phase. Alliant Techsystems has alot of experience with that so more than likely they'll be part of the contract down the road. Least I'd use them....
  20. Well it's odd though, the French sent some down to Afghanistan awhile ago (forgot the time period) and Sweden is talking about the same thing supposedly, maybe to get their aircraft some combat use.
  21. No airman, you finish the Mud Hen first, then if you hurry up, you can maybe eat, roger?
  22. The F-15I for WoI is what you're going to get. The Ra'am is Israel's Mud Hen.
  23. Plus it sounds cool. By description I'm a "Joint Forward Observer", but that means I can work with Marine ANGLICO or USAF JTAC teams, i.e. I know what they can do, and they know what I can do. And it's a cool snazzy word that means after all these years of each service doing what they want, they actually work together. But back on topic, I bet Raytheon doesn't like the deal. And another thing... well yeah if AESA works out then it could be done, but seriously, you need AAMs and you need AGMs. Missiles can in some instances be multi-role, but seriously, if you are in a target rich environment, and go Winchester, and you gotta make it home, and you're deep in enemy territory...
  24. Let's keep "Voodoo economics" out of this. Not that I disagree with you, but this isn't the place for PoliScience..
  25. Yeah, even if EADS pulls something out, how they going to sell it? The Marines are crazy over it, so having them buy something that will replace the JSF is near verboten, so no, the US military is sold on JSF.
