  4. Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) F-4E Kurnass 'Super Phantom' 2000 released, it was a planed update to the Kurnass 2000 with upgraded engines but it never made it past the prototype which flew in the 1987 Paris Airshow. http://combatace.com/files/file/13512-israeli-aerospace-industries-iai-f-4e-kurnass-super-phantom-2000-for-strike-fighters-2/

Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) F-4E Kurnass 'Super Phantom' 2000 for Strike Fighters 2 *************** Now with brand new SF2 'Super_F4.LOD' ***************** IAI planned a second level of updating for the Kurnass 2000 (http://combatace.com...ike-fighters-2/) designated the "Super Phantom 2000", in which the aircraft were to be fitted with twin Pratt & Whitney (P&W) PW1120 turbofan engines. The PW1120 was a derivative of the P&W F100 used on the F-15 and F-16, and was developed for the IAI Lavi fighter program, which was ultimately cancelled. The PW1120 was shorter and lighter than the J79 but almost the same diameter, making installation the Phantom relatively straightforward. The PW1120 offered 25% more dry thrust and 30% more afterburning thrust than the J79. A single Super Phantom 2000 prototype was implemented and flown at the Paris Air Show in 1987. It could exceed Mach 1 without afterburners and was hoped to become a lucrative update offered by Israel to current Phantom operators. However the program never went beyond the prototype with the 'official' line being that there were no takers as the cost of the engine update was a significant fraction of the cost of an entirely new aircraft, and nobody thought it sounded like a good deal. Boeing also had considered a similar Phantom update and abandoned the idea. But is is generally accepted that the real reason was McDonnell Douglas/ Boeing scuttled the project because it equalled the F/A-18C/D in performance and endangered any future sales of the F/A-18 and F-15 as current Phantom operators could upgade thier fleet to a similar level instead of having to replace them. That being said, with the PW1120 engines it is one kick ass Phantom to fly and fight with in the SF2 game! So here it is. Along with the prototype skin that the aircraft wore to the 87 Paris Air show I have also included an operational IAF 119 Squadron skin however it was obviously never used. None of the default loadouts include any weapons other than drop tanks as the prototype aircraft never carried any. However you can use the single mission editor to load a selection of preset loadouts based on the Kurnass 2000 loadouts. This mod has its origins in the SFP1 Mirage Factory F-4E Kurnass but most of the 3D work to create the Super Phantom 2000 model has been done by Sundowner. INSTILATION: Drop files in to appropriate folders, override when asked to. NOTE: Has only been tested/used in a merged install of ALL SF2 titles Credit goes to: Bunyap and Chaser617 for the F-4EJ Kai cockpit / Avionics which we used as a base for the Kurnass 2000 Cockpit and Avionics. The Viper Team for their IAF F-16C/D/I which some of the weapons came from. Sundowner for his work on the TMF Kurnass 2000. And of course the Mirage Factory Team for the original Kurnass Pack.
  6. Israeli IAI Super Phantom prototype/ demonstraitor giving its Pratt & Whitney PW1120 engines a work out for the crowd at the 1987 Paris Air Show. With 13,530 lbf of military thrust and 20,585 lbf with the burners on, this thing pushes past the sound barrier with ease! And without needing the burners either.

  9. File Name: Third Wire Stock F-4E Kurnass Upgrade/ Realism Pack File Submitter: dtmdragon File Submitted: 22 October 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft Third Wire Stock F-4E Kurnass Upgrade/ Realism Pack. This mod will upgrade all the stock Third wire F-4E Kurnass Aircraft with historically accurate weapon loads, more detailed ejection seats, nuclear weapons capability as well as improvements to the sounds and effects. Instillation: Simply copy and past into your mods folder, you MUST click override when prompted for example the export start year on the stock ALQ-101 is incorrect for Israeli service etc Notes: 1, Most bombing and attack loadouts will only have one or two sidewinders for self defense. You will also notice that the bomb on the TER closest to the loaded sidewinder is not loaded. This is exactly how the Israeli Air force did it to avoid clearance issues. Also when the center station MER is loaded with M117 bombs the front center bomb is not loaded. Again this is how the IAF did it the time. If you want to use fully loaded TERs and have four Sidewinders you can simple load them on at the load out screen. 2, Israeli Phantoms stopped carrying the AIM-7 in the late 70s/ Early 80s when the F-15 took over the air-to-air role for the IAF. You will notice this with the loadouts of the F-4E Kurnass 78. Instead of Sparrows a single Python 3 IRM was carried on a specially modified pylon in the right front sparrow bay. Extra chaff and flare dispensers were carried in the rear sparrow bays. However If you want to carry the AIM-7 you can select a loadout with them in the single mission editor (not the loadout screen) since presumably the ability to carry them remained. Credit goes to Strahi, MGunny 331KillerBee's Ordnance Shop II, Mirage Factory for the sounds and whoever did the updated Mk7 ejection seats sorry. 10. Sorry guys there was a silly mistake in version 1.1 here is the corrected 1.2: - Missile attachment angle on the Sparrow IRM station on the Kurnass 78 corrected (again). - Kurnass 78 Sparrow station IRM pylon re-painted
  11. 1.1 Uploaded: - Corrected lod issue with left IRM rails being smaller than the right - F-4E_5.bmp textures edited with more accurate cockpits
  12. Mirage Factory IDF F-4E Kurnass 2000 for Strike Fighters 2

I don't have that problem Sheriff sorry, so try re installing the update I am about to upload
  13. Nice work mate! The flight folder with the submarine rwr symbol seems to be missing from the download?
  14. Ah-ha I see now, sorry you are right I misunderstood what you meant the first time. the left IRM rails are a different size so I will talk to Sundowner and see what we can do about fixing the 3D model before we change the missile attachment points etc.
  15. 1.1 Uploaded: Missile attachment angle on the Sparrow IRM station on the Kurnass 78 corrected.
  16. Try re-downloading it and re-installing it. I've just installed a freshly downloaded copy into an empty mods folder to check it and there are no issues with the IRM rails. The problem must be with your download or install sorry.
  17. File Name: Mirage Factory F-4E(s) Shablol Updated for SF2 File Submitter: dtmdragon File Submitted: 22 October 2012 File Category: SF2 Series Add On Aircraft This is the Mirage Factory F-4E(s) Shablol for SF1 Updated for SF2. The original 3d model has also been updated with a few corrections such as pylon mounted Chaff/ Flare launchers and the .ini files have had a going over or been totally redone. The 3d model was updated by Sundowner (who gave permission for this update) and I did all the .ini work Credit goes to the Mirage Factory for the original aircraft. Note: 1, The Shablol was a modified F-4E Kurnass airframe so we have retained a limited ability to carry air-to-ground ordnance however they were not used operationally for anything other than reconnaissance. 2, The radar mode key will bring up the reconnaissance camera displays. 3, The gun sight has been turned off on purpose. Cheers, Dan (dtmdragon) http://www.f-4.nl/f4_15.html Click here to download this file

  19. Is that a Kurnass 2000 Phantom on the way Sundowner? (Fingers crossed!!..lol) Screenshot: Near miss!
  20. Does the ASX-1 TISEO for the F-4 Phantom II exist anywhere as a weapon object or pilot object with the fake pilot method? Cheers, Dan.
  21. Cheers but it is built into the whole aircraft in that mod. I was hoping ther might be a 3d model of just the TISEO that can be added on to any aircraft with the fake pilot method or as a weapon etc. I was to use it on the stock F-4E Kurnass_78 to make my Kurnass 2000 mod more accurate.
  22. I've just added four extra hard points (sparrow IRM station + pylon & rear sparrow station countermeasure pods) to the stock F-4E 78 Kurnass. They do not show up in the loadout screen but all have the correct weapon in the game as specified by the loadout.ini file. New Folder (2).zip
  23. Nice work, any plans for the British or Dutch skins? Hint hint wink wink lol!
  24. Any more info on this paint scheme in real life? Last I heard it was just a trial being tested in the states and on ops in the middle east?
