    Sea King Package for Strike Fighters 2 Series I have taken the Sea kings that were updated for SF2 in the Falklands campaign and packaged it up for SF2. Included is: -Sikorsky SH-3 SeaKing -Westland SeaKing -Marine One VH-3D -Required weapons I made a few changes including: -Working 360 degree search radar for the Westland Seaking -Added 3 crew positions with seats/crew inside the cabin -Added skins for the Royal Australian Navy, Indian Navy, RAF, US Navy Vietnam CSAR and Indian Navy with their service years added to the nations.ini -Separate Marine One VH-3D with countermeasures and jammers. Instillation: For the Westland_SeaKing: -Step 1 Put files into appropriate folders, override when asked. -Step 2 get the SH-3A-R13a7.LOD file from the 'Westland_SeaKing' at http://combatace.com...-falklands-mod/ or from the 'Sikorsky SH-3 SeaKing' from http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ -Step 3 Copy and past the SH-3A-R13a7.LOD file into the 'Westland_SeaKing' main folder now in your aircraft mods directory. For the the SH-3 & VH-3D_Marine_One: -Step 1 Put files into appropriate folders, override when asked. -Step 2 get the following LOD files from the 'SH-3_AR' at http://combatace.com...-falklands-mod/ or from the 'Sikorsky SH-3 SeaKing' from http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/ SH-3A-R13X20.LOD SH-3A-R13X40.LOD SH-3A-R13X60.LOD SH-3A-R13X80.LOD SH-3A-R14.LOD -Step 3 Copy and paste the LOD files into the 'SH-3' & 'VH-3D_Marine_One' main folders now in your aircraft mods directory.     Strike Fighters 2 Canberra B(I) mk12 operated by the Royal New Zealand Air force and Canberra B.2 loaned by the RNZAF before the purchase of the mk12 The B.2 is the stock B.2 with RNZAF skin/markings and make flyable with the cockpit from the SF B.2 by Ahmed Junaid Raza & Daniel "Kessselbrut" Himmel The mk12 was made by modifying the Canberra B(I) mk12 (South African AF) by Ahmed Junaid Raza Credit also goes to MigBuster and spinners for their part in the original mods and of course Third Wire. To install place files in appropriate folders and override. Make sure you read the original readme as well. You will need the Europe expansion Pack 2 to use the B.2 History on the RNZAF Canberra: In 1958, while awaiting delivery of their own Canberras, the RNZAF "hired" a squadron of 17 B.2s and three T.4s from the RAF as part of the Commonwealth Strategic Reserve. The B.2s and one T.4 were used, from 1958 until 1962, by the then newly formed RNZAF 75 Squadron. The squadron was based at RAF Tengah (Singapore) and became involved in active service during the Malayan emergency with their first bombing raid being carried out on 30 September 1959. In February 1958 New Zealand placed a contract for 11 aircraft for use by 14 Sqd, the contract called for nine B(I)12 and two T.13 Canberras. The B(I)12 was the equivalent of the RAF's B(I)8 but with auto-pilot and modified navigation kit. The T.13 was equivalent to the T.4 but with auto-pilot and an extra bomb bay fuel tank. 14 Squadron was based at RNZAF Ohakea in New Zealand Initially the squadron continued to use their D.H. Vampires for rocket projectile firing practice as the B(I)12s did not get this capability until December 1961. Trials then began with wing-pylon mounted Microcell rocket launchers each holding 37 rockets. Gradually the squadron achieved operational status in all its roles, including anti-shipping, and took part in deployment exercises to Singapore as part of the Commonwealth Reinforcement Force. In late 1962, the OCU was incorporated into the squadron as "C" Flight giving 14 Squadron a strength of ten B(I)12s and two T.13s. In 1964 the B(I)12s received their camouflage paint scheme ready for deployment to Singapore. 14 Sqd arrived in Singapore in September 1964 to assist in Operation Confrontation against Indonesia. A month later they went to the forward base at Labuan but were moved back to Tengah a week later! 14 Sqd stayed as part of the FEAF and, in March 1965, moved to RAAF Butterworth in Malaya. Not for long however. In 1966 the squadron returned to RNZAF Ohakea. Sadly, in the final month at Butterworth, NZ6104 crashed during a low-level RP attack at the China Rock range. Back in NZ, the decision had been taken to phase out the B(I)12 which duly took place in July 1970. New Zealand's Canberras were sold as a job-lot to India in November 1970. Some are still flying today

Improvements to the Falklands mod Lynx and Westland Seaking: - Search radars for both aircraft -Weapons positions on the lynx adjusted so the Sea Skua missiles are staggered on the pylons and torpedoes/bombs are carries on the station closest to the fuselage -Addition of a forward firing door gunner for the Lynx that can be loaded via a dedicated weapons pylon, use the airbrake key to open and close the cabin/gunners door -Additional crew and seats inside the Seaking fuselage -Adjusted the Sea skua missile by changing its guidance type to CGR as the way it was it could not hit a moving ship. To install: Step 1 -Simply put files in correct location and make sure you over-ride all files when asked. Step 2 -Because of the size of limit on the size of uploads to this post you will need to download the SF2 Lynx here ( http://combatace.com...2-has3-for-sf2/ ) and copy and past the cockpit folder from the SF2 Lynx HAS2 into the Lynx HAS2 in the Falklands campaign after completing step 1.   5. I have updated the lynx from the Falklands campaign with a working search radar and a forward firing door gunner that can be loaded via a dedicated weapons station. I have also added a 360 degrees search radar to the Westland seaking. Would you like me to upload these or is there a reason you left them without working radars etc? Cheers, Dan.

This the best way I could represent the Remote Guardian turret engaging targets to defend the aircraft. What it is is a gunner station located in the correct position that fires the GAU 17 at any enemy air targets. However there is no 3d model to go with it. So what you get is the GAU 17 minigun turret that you can see and fire straight ahead. When the AI gunner engages a target you will see the muzzle flash and tracer fire coming from mid air in the area where the GAU 17 minigun turret is.   13. Hi guys, I’m after some advice on how to create a dummy turret for an aircraft. What I’m doing is updating the SF1 MV-22 for SF2 and I want to recreate the GAU-17 minigun turret under the belly of the aircraft and the gunner on the lowered ramp. To take care of the 3d models I am going to place the gatling gun and gunner from the UH-1 in the correct position and although they wont move with the gun/gunfire but that will do for now. That is no problem but I need help on the INI data to make it all work if anyone has some ideas? Cheers and happy new years, Dan

  19. I have created two separate installs on the new SF2 Falklands campaign. One I use as normal the other I have added other add on British aircraft from 1983 onwards. My problem is when creating a single mission in more modern time (eg 2005 to simulate a fictional second attack on the Falkland’s) the game crashes. I have changed every date I can think of to 2020+ such as aircraft, ships and ground objects for both sides. As well as extending all the dates in the option.ini etc. What am I missing to get this to work? Cheers, Dan
  20. Hi guys Im after a bit of advice for anyone who's done something similar to what Im planning to do. The way I have SF2 set up is with Nato Fighters installed as a base then all the other add on aircraft/weapons/terrains/objects etc put in overtop without overriding any of the Nato Fighters files. This works well for me as Nato fighters gives me all the extra effects and weapons I need and the campaigns to play plus I have added most all other add on aircraft and terrains. I have now decided after playing around with the mission editor and creating huge land battles to fly CAS for, that my ground objects need adding too to bring my selection of ground units up to the modern day. I was thinking about copying and pasting in all the ground objects from the Modern Korea campaign, Does anyone have any thoughts on weather this will do what I want all in one go or should I be picking and choosing so as not to muck up my Nato Fighters campaign etc? Obviously I would have to copy and paste the Korea effects, weapons, sounds and guns folders to make sure all the Korea ground objects worked but I wouldn't override any files when I did this. It is from the Operation Desert Storm SF1 campaign set and I updated it for SF2 as well as changing some of the data.ini information to more accurately reflect the aircraft. NOTE: The original A-4KU uses Strikefighter 1 series LODS so you will have to have WoV to use this aircraft. (I ignorantly didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to include the series 1 LODS in the upload so that’s why I have now removed them) Included is an extensive RWR.LST file and RWR.TGA files, a ‘Free Kuwait’ skin and pre invasion skin. INSTILATION: 1,Drop files in to appropriate folders, override when asked to. 2,Extract the original lod files from WoV ObjectData.cat using the CAT extractor. Following lods: A-4F.LOD, A-4F_lod002.LOD, A-4F_lod003.LOD, A-4F_lod004.LOD, AV-8A_LOD4.LOD & A-4F_lod005.LOD once extracted should go to the A-4KU_Kuwait folder.   23. I rather ignorantly didn’t realise that I couldn’t upload series 1 lods for use with series 2 aircraft. It was brought to my attention so I removed it and re-uploaded it without the lod files. Which means you will have to have one of the series 1 titles that have the A-4F model to make use of it. There are instructions in the readme on how to install it. The edited upload isn’t showing up in the downloads section because it is awaiting moderator approval.

View File Top Gun A-4F 'Super Fox' for Strike Fighters 2 UPDATED 27/01/11 Top Gun A-4F 'Super Fox' for Strike Fighters 2 UPDATED 27/01/11 - Correct angled refueling probe added along with a landing light thanks to wilco's mods to my A-4N - minor data.ini updates - Opening canopy 'shift' + '0' This is the modified A-4 Super F used as an Aggressor aircraft by the US Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun) from 74 till 94. The Super F (Super Fox) was the ultimate adversary Skyhawk as it was equipped with updated J52-P-408 engine giving 11,200 pounds of thrust. The Super Fox also had its avionics hump and associated equipment stripped reducing its weight and giving it an impressive better than 1:1 thrust-to-weight ratio. Other modifications included the wing slats being bolted closed and removal of the cannons. However for the game I have kept the cannons and increased the rounds to 200 per gun (same as the A-4M) to give you a bit more dog fighting time :) I have retained the countermeasure dispensers as I couldn’t find any information indicating they were removed but with no ECM or RWR I would advise you to avoid being engaged at beyond visual range haha. Included with this aircraft is a Top Gun instuctor pilot skin. Best way to enjoy this bird is to set up a guns only dogfight with the mission editor and go head to head with a few Tomcats. INSTILATION: Drop files in to appropriate folders, override when asked to. NOTE: Has only been tested/used in a merged install of ALL SF2 titles Credit goes to column5 for their A-4E Super Echo which gave me the idea and provided a base for the skin.
