I'm just wondering what would make a good mascott aircraft for CombatACE? As for me I'm think about a cartoon character complied of various aircraft ... to be more clear a ficticious plane that to the untrained eye looks like some plane put to us we can see various little features on it from other aircraft. I'm curious to know what you guys and gals think.

Interesting on so maaaannnny levels.

In other news... A CombatACE member stumbled across a bag containing $200K and turned ALL of the money in to authorites.Even when thinking about debts, mortage, and car notes the CombatACE member stated that "I just had to do what was best". A search is still underway to find the remaining $800k that others may have taken but are not willing to return unlike the thoughtful CombatACE member who has set a great example for all of us and will be recieving a $500 Amazon.com giftcard for his or her honesty.

Amazing. Thank you for posting them. -
I thought you were full of it and pulling my leg ... until I watched the video.

Nice .... simply amazing.

... could you please clear that up for a civilian puke like me? Also how often are JDAM strikes called by a single squadron are they are a rare thing or do they happen a lot? Do squads still call for artillery, mortars, and rockets or are these less accurate and used for large scale assaults? Just curious.

Someone posted this on a gaming site I check on every now and then.

Well its not completely corny ... its a good time killer. I'm talking about an old game that came in 2011 called Airport Firefighter Simulator its a neat game that allows players to do as the title says fight various fires at an airport ... of course some of them happen at such a frequency one has to wonder if there is a little dirt bag running around lighting various things on fire. The reason I like it so much is because it one deals with aviation and two is a kind of SAR type game and I love those kind of games yeah blowing shit up is cool but there is something neat about being a coast guard pilot and pulling some helpless sole from a sinking ship. Another reason I like this game is because its the kind of sandbox game that I like and it has TONS of potential if it had the right amount of man power and resources it could've been great. They obviously took short cuts with certain things like the NPCs walking around but they did many others things such as add air traffic and ground traffic to give you that airport feel. Your not just some dude in a truck driving around with a bunch of parked and vehicles forever frozen in time looking as if they're doing something or are about to do something nope you have to watch yourself because a 747 taxing could be right around the corner or check both ways when crossing that runway on your way to put out a fire burning a Helicopter ... a failed to do that and a 747 landed on me... such a career ender. The annoying thing too is that the other cars, loaders, food trucks, etc don't get the hell out of the way when you have your sirens blaring ... the planes stop but not everyone else. Its also a neat game because unlike other games that throw you in state of the art equipment your first day... these suckers give you a little SUV and make you check the fence line of a 24 km airport (which loads all at the once which is why your computer will lag like hell around the fire station because everything even the interior are loaded) anyway while you're checking that fence line its up to you and your handy fire extinguisher to chase down every last call of burning trash cans or false alarms. If you're didn't bring your A game you'll be checking that fence for a while ... if you have then you get to move on to bigger trucks and bigger fires after your first mission. For some reason I still liked using this truck.... But I find myself starting to like this bad girl as well. Just hit a button and done! The only major gripe I have other than the graphics and traffic not getting the hell out of the way when you're running lights and sirens is that there is not a single f*ing pool table or weight room or anyone to interact with while your spending hours at the station killing time. You can take a four hour nap that's it. Put a pool table in that sucker or some kind of pong game or something and when the alarm happens get moving. You can drive around all of the airport but I don't recommend it because something could happen at the other end and then its a long drive to get there. You can also make sure your water and fuel tanks are topped off and that's about it for fun unless you want to dink around with truck and its equipment. Some of the alarms are funny too like a plane will crash and everyone goes out there with you and that's all they do is that they are parked while YOU do all the work oh sure someone is spraying water .... at the ground. and not at the fire next to the fuel tank... but why not its not like things explode. But that's my guilty pleasure what's yours? Yes I am aware there is a new one but the reviews on it so far about are less than pleasing ... there are some bugs that need to get worked out.

Some of you know that from time to time I like to write short action packed sci fi stories. I have a sci fi craft that I'm working on called the XC-171 Atlas the little brother of the very reliable XC-86 Raider basically the same except the 86 has more armor... its more reliable in battle but it moves like shit compared to the Atlas which can transition from space to atmosphere more smoothly. These aircraft are just me taking some things and putting them together ... They can transport supplies and troops to battle line and then protect them by "becoming" an AC-130 (by turning their energy weapon arrays they use in celestial combat from forward to port) they can also be equipped to act like a B-1 bomber if need be to drop conventional gravity bombs or guided bombs and they are their own AWACS because of the electronic suites they have which aid them in celestial combat. In space they can transport troops and supplies, boarding parties, and short range torpedoes which can destroy cruisers. The air crew for now is two people not sure if I should make it four or leave it at two because everything is computerized. I have the co pilot doing all of the shooting. I want to give these craft VTOL abilities and hung up on whether the co pilot should hit a button, turn a knob, flip a switch, or move a lever. I’m thinking a button that can auto assist the pilot with the transition from forward to vertical flight. … maybe hit a button and punch in desired altitude for the transition to level flight. Hit button 50ft AGL and the pilot does his thing and when altitude is reached they move forward. I look forward to and welcome your thoughts on this.
