  1. Thriller was the second or third album I ever owned! Say what you want about the last 20 years, but in the mid 80s, he really was the King of Pop.
  2. LOL we are hot on this scoop ;)
  3. TMZ is reporting, and a lot of outlets including Drudge are picking it up, that MJ has died: http://www.tmz.com/
  4. Whomsoever comes here tomorrow morning to breathlessly alert us that TW is down and obsess over whether they have gone out of business will be the target of much derision.
  5. ThirdWire's site will be down tomorrow morning for a couple of hours. Do not freak out. http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6678
  6. You've been reading Tom's Hardware again?

    Your family rig

Yep, '74. The giveaway is the split bumper cover on the rear. Only year that used that.
  8. Dunno, I was banned for being mean to Stiglr (Ass).
  9. I basically agree. In reading about the B-2 I learned that the missions have to be carefully planned so that the aircraft always presents its best aspect (lowest RCS) to known enemy radars at any given time. That really can't be simulated in our sims currently, so you would just wind up with an aircraft that was nearly invulnerable.
  10. This is not true. Check the power consumption section of this review: http://www.techreport.com/articles.x/16848
  11. If there is a local gym, might want to visit and try out some different stuff, to see what works best with your knee.

    Your family rig

I have no family, so no family car.
  13. Let's try to keep this relatively informative and relatively accurate.
  14. Possibly a rowing machine. They can get your heart rate to maximum really fast. Edit: Also, the scale finally started registering some weight loss again, even though I've dropped a waist size in the past month!
  15. As Crusader says, many F-8s were updated through a program called Shoehorn with improved ECM and countermeasures as a result of experience in Vietnam.
  16. OK, someone lock Stary in his room and don't let him out until this is done.

    Socialist Utopia.
  18. I'm teetering on the brink of buying one. The IBM X25-E is very highly rated: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820167013 Although the capacity is small I think an SSD would be best used to boot the OS, and not for applications, so 32 gig would be adequate. Its rated for over 2 million hours and the performance numbers are incredible.
  19. I've never understood why people get excited about this. Both aircraft have radar reflectors that would be deployed any time they were under ground control, and especially in a high-traffic area such as around an air show.
  20. A good example is our record-keeping software which was developed in-house. It has problems with both Vista and 7 because of the tightened security at the folder level.
  21. Windows 7 doesn't really display any better compatability than Vista. I never found anything that I couldn't run under Vista, and 7 is the same. Realistically, if Vista SP2 and Windows 7 could be blind tested I don't think anyone would be able to consistently tell one from the other.
