Man... I love this game! For me, going from this back to BF2 is like going back to trench warfare. I only have it on 360 at the moment until I can pimp out my system to be able to run it nicely. I'm dying to give co-op a blast. Has anyone given the co-op campaign a blast? For me, it's the crisp, clean shots, the choice in weapons, the crosscom system provides more accurate information in realtime than the BF2 model, the sound effects are just crazy on 6.1! Even the ambience is pretty sweet! I like that the grenade launcher deals some decent damage, not like the on in BF2 which is more like a crappy special effect from a bad ninja movie! My only complaint, the M21 sounds too low caliber when firing. Sounds like a 5.56 instead of a 7.62. But that's just rivet counting I suppose

Updates for the SFP series or just FE... coz I'm keen.

In theory... you could drive ground vehicles, tanks, jeeps etc... it would need to be developed as no one's touched it yet, but in theory, it should work...

I've never noticed that before, but the J-8 has a HUGE nose section for the crappy radar installed... I suppose that's where the mouse wheel is, and I guess they do take up a lot of space. Seriously though, I do love this plane and it would be a worthy addition to the SFP series for sure! Holy crap! I knew of the Lavi (and all the fake J-10 images), I knew of the XL, but I never put them side by side and went "Jeeze... They look similar..." Man... I feel a bit dopier for that. By the way, wasn't it called the AFTI? This is what you're talking about, yeah? There was a great version of this in Ace Combat 3...

It can carry up to 8xAim-120s and a pair of IRMs... that's not enough?? Good stuff Dave and crew! It climbs like a rocket and floats to eath like a leaf... This plane has to have the smoothest landing I've ever experienced! You may convert me to the Viper yet...

Sorry dude, that was part of the flying high joke. I do know for a fact that in my copy of WoE and SF gold, I had AN-12s modded but you do have to add a cockpit in the An12_data.ini and you have to copy a cockpit from another aircraft. If all else fails, there's an An-12 bomber around somewhere. I thought it was at column5 but I'm not sure. Hey TX3RN0BILL, Recon's a good way of having something close to a "free flight" mode, just make sure have the enemy aircraft tab set to low. I rarely get any aircraft when using that combination. I find it good for touch and gos, taxiing and whatnot.

I love this series, but I can't tell... is this pre WCIII Heart of Tiger? One of those cruisers looks like the carrier you flew from in secret ops...

Cheers guys. I have two more versions to release, an off-white scheme and an "Air defence" grey. Having a few issues with them at the moment, plus they need to be cleaned up a little but they should be ready soon. Just having a bit of a problem with the wingroot, seems to always be dark... even in direct sunlight...

Hey, so a question that's Transport and Air_Assault are mission types that obviously don't work in game, but I'm curious to know what the plan was for them. Was TK planning to have payloads in transports in this series? Was there a plan for paratroopers to be parachuted over targets in particular missions, etc? I'm interested in that having more mission types (non combat types like refueling) would add an interesting element to gameplay. I apologise for being late to the party on this one...

These are skins I'd modded for Mdlemast's excellent YF-23 to make it appear more akin to the black YF-23 prototype, a pseudo ferris style and a white skin. Big thanks to Mdlemast for producing the YF-23 pack in the first place! Something about the white one I just can't seem to get right just yet.

Anyone ever notice that in the Ace Combat word, there's a war every 5-7 years or so? And nothing small either! All involve mass mobilisation, WMDs, significant damage to land and ecconomies... It's almost like the olympics! It'd be a bastard of a place to live in...

Yeah, that kinda bugged me too. Because they'd made and remade the US and USSR units several times over which was a shame because each time the displayed units looked pretty sweet! It sucks that Europe got the ass, the EU always seems to get it in games. Euroforces for Battlefield 2 was a bit of a joke in that it introduced the Eurofighter, the Tiger ARH (C?), some Europeans arms and so on, but more than half the equipment/vehicles you use were still American! I mean when was the you saw a British/French/German/Czech/Polish/Dutch infantry conoy roll into an AO with Blackhawk support British/French (et al) air support? Nevertheless, this mod is going to be gold (with or without Europe) I mean just have a butcher's at the comparison of the standard Zero Hour A-10s compared to the CWC A-10s! F-111 carpet bombing is pretty sweet and the Cobra gunships are just NASTY!

Yeah, it would have been cool to see what effect a cheap yet tailored CAS aircraft with some stealthing characteristics would have had on the battlefield, huh?
