  1. Tornadoes Package

I finally got to fly your Tornado in full TFR\Terrain Avoidance mode! OMG!!! It is awesome! Excellent work! I love it. Question, changing the MISSIONCONTROL.INI, how does this affect other plane, modes...etc.... Excellent work! Thanks. I will have to look at the F-111 package for this. Any thoughts? V
  2. SF2 Area 51 Test Pilot Hi-Res 1024x768 Menu Screens!

Hi Grey, This mod does not change the behavior of the menu button. Just the one mail icon in the upper left. I just tested it and it works fine for me. V

SF2 Area 51 Test Pilot Hi-Res 1024x768 Menu Screens! By Viper So, I do a lot of mod testing, I hate testing a new mod on an existing install I play on, so I have a dedicated install using the Nellis Terrain pack for testing new mods. This is the menu screens I use for that install. However, you can use these screens for any SF2 series if you like. 1) Creating a new mod install...First, you need to create a new Tester Mod game and folder. You can use any SF2 Series Game as a base. In your install folder (the merged Thirdwire folder), copy and renamed "StrikeFighter2 Europe" (exe and ini file) to "StrikeFighter2 Area51" (I used "StrikeFighter2 Europe" for my tester base - you don't have to). Run it to create the "Saved Game" mod folder. 2) Unzip and copy the uncompressed FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders from this package to your new StrikeFighter2 mod folder. My StrikeFighter2 mod folder on Win7 64-bit was..(yours may be different)... C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighter2 Area51\ 3) To remove the new mod folder, just delete it and you're done. If you want to reset your tester install, rerun "StrikeFighter2 Area51" and copy the menus back into the reset mod folder. 4) Test more mods in a new clean tester install... Enjoy!
  4. German Air Force Tornados

    Excellent work!
  5. German Air Force Tornados

  6. Bob and Dave, unless it's something personal...I think we all may be interested in the conversation? Just thinking out loud...or just call me nosey...LOL :)
  7. Thank you for doing what you guys do! It is appreciated!
  8. So, I am finally settled down in a new apartment. I had to move around recently (6 months?). Work getting in the way of simming and modding!!! I had to repurposed my last gaming PC for Vive VR (its become a communal PC now - sad face). But, I FINALLY got another computer for personal (Hands off! MINE MINE MINE!) STRIKEFIGHTER gaming! So here I am, back like a bad penny - like it or not! I am getting used to the new site...how things change when one is not looking (busy working and moving)! I can't thank you guys enough for building and keeping this place running! THANK YOU!!!!!! :)
  9. Hmmm...so, I've been gone for awhile...Everything changed and I can't figure out this new site? Are we transitioning to something or is this the new normal? LOL...scratching my head... V
  10. Thanks Gat! Glad you like them. I made, but never used the wide screen menus...now I am converting all my menu screens to 1080 wide screen format...having used them now, I am just tweaking them...I used to have a 3 monitor wrap around setup, each 1024ish (but higher rez) square screens. After downing sizing to an apartment, I just don't have the room for a 3 monitor setup. So, I ended up buying a 32in curved wide screen monitor. :) V
  11. View File StrikeFighter2 World War II Pacific Theater (PTO) Hi-Res 1920x1080 Menu Screens and Music! Version 3 StrikeFighter2 World War II PTO Hi-Res Alternate 1920x1080 Menu Screens and Music! By Viper I just recently downloaded the "All inclusive SF2 Pacific Theater Operations" (PTO) package from the A-Team site. Excellent package, but the menus were not to my liking...soooo...I upgraded them. These menu screens are tailored for that package, but it should work for any SF2 game with a Pacific WWII theme! You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing to see if you like the screens before installing them. If you choose to install these screens, I recommend that you back up (make a copy of) your FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup. To install, simply unzip and copy the uncompressed FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder. To remove, simply delete the FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders and rename the copies you made to FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders. My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win97\10 64-bit would be something like... C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\<Name of your PTO mod folder>\ Enjoy! PS. Check out my Init Screen mod in the "InitScreen Extra" folder... Submitter viper63a Submitted 10/31/2017 Category Menus
  12. Updated the main screen to the format used in ODS...just text, no grey box. Added Pilot Record Screen. I missed it when I converted from black white screens to color. The black white screen are still there, but as alt screens. Enjoy!

SF2 Vietnam Hi-Res 1920x1080 Menu Screens and Music v5 By Viper 05/17/2020 Note: I removed all the nation sounds from this Menu packs for size reasons. If you intend to install the "VIPER63A HQ Menu Sounds" pack, please install that pack first. Installing the HQ Sound pack over the Menu pack may overwrite some of the menu specific music files. You can always re-install this menu pack to get the menu specific theme music back. This mod includes custom "vietnam Era" themed menu screens, pilots and (w/ 60s) music. You should unzip this package and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are MANY alternate screens I have in there that you might like better. 1) Backup (copy) your FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folder. I "highly" recommend that you (if you can) "RENAME" your Menu folder and let this mod create a new Menu folder for you. If you had installed any other menu mods, that may conflict with this Menu mod. 2) To install, simply unzip and copy the uncompressed FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA folders to your StrikeFighter2 mod folder. Don't forget to back up before loading any mods! My StrikeFighter2 mod on Win10 64-bit was..(yours may be different)... C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\Thirdwire\StrikeFighter2 Vietnam\ 3) To uninstall, delete the folders updated by this mod and copy (rename) your backed up folder to FLIGHT, MENU and PILOTDATA. Enjoy!
