    KOTOR

so any one else think its the best star wars story since Empire?
  2. easy...33
  3. Going to have to go with Olmos, then Grace Park... Though I have to admit...Baldar actually makes me hate him...he plays the antagonist so perfectly well...I mean he is not evil, just the summation of all bad human emotions
  4. - did you read the 14th post from the beginning? By this one?
  5. Yeck...greasy french fry innards everywhere...
  6. I tried it a few times after reading this...I guess if its possible the "sweet spot" is quite small. Any one else have any luck?
  7. Those are cool, once you use them, the default terrain is rather lacking
  8. awesome, makes the commute more tolerable, no doubt
  9. and the mahogany canopy rails? knowing the French, it probably had an ashtray...
  10. found the original on AVSIM...had to remember my account password...will install this week, but am really looking forward to this Wrench-version...you know how much I enjoy details by the by, need anything for the Okinawa side of those improvements?
  11. Oh now that is close...
  12. Funny you should mention that...I was thinking that the Army should be split into a Homeland Defense; ie, National Guard force and a QRF (yep, like the Marines). USAF would do well to have a similar posture of re-awakening ADC and a similar ALLIED FORCE concept of protracted air war hitting targets for political reasons. But the real jist of the earlier topic is that one would think it unlikely that the bad guys will use airliners again, and if they did a two-ship of F-16 can not stop a plane leaving Dulles from suddenly crashing into the White House...do the math...and try to take that shot over DC, besides their look down shoot down capability is no where near that good into such a congested area..."suspicious track"...yeah a cessna carrying cocaine, I agree completely...a suicidal airliner...I vehemently disagree. Seems to my mind that a new tactic is much more likely...an IED in the Lincoln Tunnel or on I-95...America has 4 million miles of roads...and how many highway patrolmen are trained to handle or even recognize an IED? No, this enemy is like the sand, knows no bounds, and can try anything...we should try to improve our processes...we cant prepare for every contingency, but we need to get better at not doing the same old thing.
  13. I remember reading about it years ago...no idea why the 2k beat it...I mean...it has two engines, canards, faster/cleaner
  14. well Honesty... It is impossible for me to believe that when the project that Moseley said was / is his #1 priority ran afoul in Congress, to include people being dismissed and millions mis-allocated that he claimed he knew nothing about it...then, barely weeks later CSAR-X goes the way no one expected, and again he claimed to know nothing about it...even the GAO took notice and cried foul...then cutting 40,000 in addition to the 22,000 jobs he already cut, all without one cent (in fact, the opposite was realized, all money was drained into the Army) and still insisting on making more cuts? Why? To further feed the Army? No thanks. This smacks of deeper issues. No one is doing anything different, we trudge along the same paths...we are fighting an entirely new foe, one that Cold War mentality will not muster against. Of course he has no magic wand to fix all of our fears, but why change the uniform? Then another uniform change...then another...then talk of re-aligned the MAJCOMs...again... Wag the Dog Yep, I know it sounds like a rant, conspiracy theory, uninformed dweeb...and maybe I am.
  15. I am not saying that it is knee jerk, hey look at me press seeking...well maybe. Obviously there were a lot of smart dudes involved and a lot of consequence-oriented discussion...clear the fleet too soon and the first one that crashes gets front page coverage. And never said SAMs are perfect. There are targets that SAMs can protect that fighters cannot, particularly point defense high value. And airspace? We control the airspace, we decide who flies where, with as many concessions to the commercial market as one can imagine. That being said... We have a Patriot battalion here on Okinawa...of course it does not take an entire battalion to defend a nuclear power plant or the white house. What I am saying is that we have options. As an informed member of the defense community you know, as well as I do, that we have spent the last 12 years driving by the rear view mirror...even after 9/11. It is time to do better. Have we been effective? In many ways yes, in many ways we should be doing better. Who can fix it? Not one person, it is a culture change that may take a while longer to materialize
  16. thanks! downloading now
  17. congrats! I used to belong to a virtual airline called Delaware Air, it was really cool and a lot of fun
  18. Wrench, please let me know if there is a way to get access to it
  19. Has anyone tried / seen this in action? http://www.fspilotshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=1221 looks too promising
  20. Wish we would sell them the -22, they probably would prefer it over the -35...but given the legendary Japanese reverse-engineering abilities it is perhaps understandable why it may be a while before it is offered up...that and it would be rather embarrassing to have to face an improved version in an Exercise (F-4E Kai).
  21. wait...no evild@mncommbuildings? Count me in!
  22. reading between the lines "America deserves" and "Homeland Defense"...being in the post-modern USAF has taught me one thing...the USAF abhors bad press like a wasp sting in the junk... I am not convinced that all of the decisions made are in the best interest of the public / pilots and rather are more of a gamble to get flying again as more news articles began mentioning the lack / gap of air defense due to Eagle non-availability. Hey, I am a child of air dominance and even I think that when it comes to air defense a few more Patriot batteries is way cheaper / more effective than flying CAPs. Not perfect, but certainly cheaper. Of course flying CAPs is way more about re-assuring the public than protecting targets.
  23. Ooo, thanks! It is the getting it into game that I need help on...sounds simple
