  1. are you using an nVidia? they are notorious for needing driver updates ad nausea...I have been using them for years, just comes with the type I guess
  2. doest really matter...the thirdwire engine for SFP1/WOV/WOE/FE dumps medals, as in does not record them in your pilot folder...so you could win the Blue Max and enjoy it until you touch anything, at which time it goes into Tron
  3. whoa...is that photo-shop'ed?
  4. whoa...$70 seems a bit steep to me...especially since I usually wait until the FS gets lower price-wise but as long as you are happy, then it really doesnt matter what you paid for it
  5. this is interesting...doesnt work in the Bering St map either...same thing...goes off the map However, if one selects a Soviet design, then it works just fine, both German and Bering St maps...weird can see the initial point just off the map, but it will not allow me to drag it back onto the chart
  6. just read the stars/stripes...seems Iran said that the USN fabricated the entire thing...that sounds like the USN...not! just gets weirder and weirder
  7. didnt know he was still around even...
  8. wasnt being silly...the real thing was called a "missile with a man in it"...fast, but turning was not really an option I guess...the one in the game seems a bit more maneuverable than that planform would suggest...is that what you are referring? went looking through my SFP1 folder o'goodies as I thought there was something...have not found it yet...of course I did get interrupted by a nasty computer virus seems like there were a few re-worked FM's back for SFP1...think it has been a while though
  9. and many more!
  10. what changes have you made lately?
  11. again, you may have to do some tweaking, and in the least make the file names match...may poke around another sim like Jane's and see/listen to what you like better, then try that
  12. welcome aboard!
  13. sounds suspiciously politically motivated...not cool
  14. just found a computer virus...somehow win32pinfi made it through...think it happened after I put a new HDD in and before I made it around to re-installing Norton...dumb/dumb/dumb have been trying to fix this for 3+ hours...
  15. actually...thats not a bad idea...a Ford with a Honda engine...
  16. so now my WOE install went corrupt...it crashes at the 80% mission load screen...only changes were I installed the Israel 2 terrain, then deleted it...but it crashed before I deleted it. dont think it has anything to do with the terrain as other people use it with no problems any ideas?
  17. so I installed the Israel 2 terrain and switched the files per the read me...but it CTD during mission load...does it require desert.cat?
  18. snap! that is a nice set up
  19. and in Cheetah print...
  20. I had a USB/MP3 player and really liked it...it was like a lead weight...impossible to break and it went with me on 2 Marathons, plus all of the training leading to them, plus a deployment to the desert. Bought an iPod while in the desert to bring back to my wife...it didnt survive one day (overheated...but it was 128 that day, plus I was sitting with full armor on in the back of a C-130, so the temp was way more than that) That touchy-feely-wheel on the iPod is not durable enough for me, but it works great for her. By the way, i am NOT calling you a girl...
  21. russ, should have known you to be a fan... oh yeah, take a 4-ship of Eagles out with "Aces High" way too loud for the neighbors in the background
  22. err...there are more than 5-types of IFF...but you know that already...and dont forget that proper employment of M1/2 would be secret, though the system is not
  23. never flown an F-16...does it have the bitchin' betty?
  24. you may consider taking some sound files like from iL-2 and replacing them into your SFP1/WOE directory...you would have to change the file names and maybe a few other tweaks, but it should be do-able
