  1. Thanks. I gotta tell you that flying w/ a 23" wide screen monitor is quite a change from my old 19" CRT. Don't know why I waited so long.
  2. Thanks - figured it out. Looks fabulous!!
  3. Hello all - back from a rather long sabbatical. Just bought a 23" wide screen monitor. So...how do I set OFF to get it to fly at the native resolution 1920x1080? And is there anything else I should know? Thanks in advance.
  4. Ahhh - OK - I will check the DATA.ini file tonight. Thanks for your help.
  5. Hello all. Back into SF/WOV from a long hiatus. Had to reload from scratch. - Using the 10/08 patch on WOV - Loaded the MiG-23 pack - Loaded the 2.52 Weapons pack - Did the WE thing so all weapons show All except the R-23R on the MiG-23. Checked the weapons pack and weapons INI and the missile is there. Checked the Loadout.INI and the missile is listed on one of the glove stations. But...in the Loadout screen one can only choose the R-23T. Anyone have a fix? Thanks.
  6. Going down to Williamsburg VA for two days as well***. So...I do plan to hit that hangar on the way back - but I do have the wife and kids so that is not definite. ***And will visit Yorktown - the climactic battle of our glorious revolution - "The World Turned Upside Down". (To my English friends = sorry for gloating )
  7. I have PC Doctor. But that doesn't matter as - when I fly: - I disconnect the internet (I have a wireless USB modem and the router is hardwired to my sons PC) - I shut down all programs I can - including PC Doctor - via EndItAll - I run OFF The only drawback is I have to reboot to restore the protection if I need to connect to the internet after simming - a rare occurence. Hey, I guess I can never play RoF with this method, huh?
  8. I use "EndItAll2" as: - The interface is very simple - You can lock apps that you don't want "killed" (Track IR, joystick software, NHancer) - Once you run the kill apps routine you exit and the program closes No muss - no fuss - less overhead - more FPS.
  9. Dude, I WILL touch 'em if I can get close enough!!
  10. So I will not be posting here from Friday until Monday or so. I’ll miss you guys <sniff> But, I will be visiting the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum with my camera so I will be collecting shots of Beaulieu-Marconnay’s DVII; U10, Ray Brooks SPAD XIII; Smith IV, the Alb DVa, the Snipe and the Pfalz DXII. I promise to post them when I get a chance - and if they don't look like s**te.

  12. To each his own I guess. To me, when I see patches that ADD new content I think; "Wow, the devs care about their product and want to improve things." And, IMO, that is exactly what the Super patch and mini patches have done. You mean before OBD fixed the "clouds of death"? Guess you missed the sticky about getting MORE sound options that enable you to adjust sound to taste. And what's with... Who exactly are these mysterious "people" so bothered by this blizzard of patches? Do you speak for a group of OFF aficionados who don't have regular internet access to these boards? Duly noted.
  13. I will do so. Thanks.
  14. Nice stuff all. And how the heck does one get these resized for an 8/12 x 11 sheet of paper?
  15. Yes, thanks again for sharing your work and we will be on the lookout for your next efforts.
  16. You can only select these as a Limey or Frog, correct?
  17. ...and yet another victim for the AI pilots to chew on. Welcome aboard.
  18. Good advice to be sure Salty this sim is a deep one. Welcome aboard.
  19. I don't think that's German. Damn, you guys are fast!!!
  20. Silent Hunter III has a band and pretty nurses throwing roses at your U-boat as you sail out of the harbor - a nice touch
  21. Congrats on your efforts BuB. In RB2/3D you got a newspaper clipping at the end of a mission announcing the death of an ace. That was a nice touch. Doubt it would be possible in OFF.
