    2. F-16A (144 Squadron) skin for WoI

      F-16A Netz 'Guardians of the Arava' (144 Squadron) skin for WoI:

      This skin is for Thirdwire's stock F-16A Netz and depicts a batch of F-16A given to Israel under the Peace Marble IV program as a reward for its restraint during the Gulf War. Most of these aircraft were ex-ANG/AFRes aircraft, that retained their USAF air superiority gray color scheme in Israeli service. They joined 144 Squadron at Hatzor AB, making 144 the biggest fighter squadron. It seems that they were randomly numbered in the 7XX range, so I picked 752, 777 and everything in between.

      INSTALLATION:
      Unzip the 'IDFgrey' folder to your F-16A_Netz folder and add the following entry to your F-16A_Netz.ini:

      [TextureSet002]
      Directory=IDFgrey
      Name=IDF Grey
      Nation=ISRAEL
      Specular=0.400000
      Glossiness=0.400000
      Reflection=0.000000
      Squadron=144IDF

      ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:
      Thanks to TK for WoI and all the other great games.
      Special thanks to gerwin for his outstanding F-16A template.

    23. Desert Pink camo for RAF Eagle FGR.1

      RAF Eagle FGR.1 Desert pink camo skin for WoE:

      This is a repaint for the F-15A Eagle that comes stock in WOE. Someone was complaining that they wanted a camo skin (ok, so they what they really wanted was a gray/green RAF - this was easier). So this is what you get.

      --NOTE: this is for use on the STOCK 3rd Eagle from WoE, and is designed with the RAF mod in mind that I released a little way's back.

      Like the lo-viz gray, it makes use of existing serial number decals. Included are 'lo-viz' versions of the fin flash and roundels, which, when all is said and done, were supplied with the game. I just de-saturated them to dull the colors.

      It's not a real great skin, but it's for fun, so what the heck, right????

      You'll also have some (between 60-70) nose art decals, too. Some are 'borrowed' from some of my other sets, some are new taken from photos or drawing of real RAF aircraft (mostly Tornados or Victors) that had a nice Desert Storm or Telic feel to them, others are brand new, many for fun and lots just because I could do them, and had the artworks available.
      As usual, the standard semi-clothed or nekked female form is quite prevelant -so be warned! You'll also find various other types, since this is a more modern skin, from classic style pinups, TV, movies, anime, anything I could find to liven it up a little.

      Install instructions are in the readme enclosed; it's just a simple skin, so no 'brain science' here :)
      Remember: this is for the STOCK, 3rd Wire Wings Over Europe F-15A (well, really the RAF version) ONLY. The Mirage Factory's is just too beautiful, and I won't mess with that one!

      Enjoy!

    24. USAF F/A-37 Talon Texture V1

      Here is a quick repaint of Zur's excellent F/A-37 Talon. It represents the 4th Fighter Squadron of the 388th Fighter Wing (my favorite USAF Squadron). The Talon is only an alpha at this stage but it's the best alpha I've seen!

      I'm not sure if Zur will thik this texture is good enough for the final release, so here it is for anybody who is interested.

      Thanks for this bird Dave!

      Just paste the USAF folder into your Objects/Aircraft/Talon folder and fly!

      Zur's Original readme:

      "This aircraft is ALPHA… Which means not everything is finished and not everything is implemented… and nothing if final.

      Q: Why did I release this in its alpha state? – Easy. I’m looking for some people who know how to paint skins… Of which I’m most definitely not.

      If you’re up for the challenge, I’m looking for people to make skins within the following categories:

      1.) Movie Based Scheme. (Default skin)
      2.) USN. (Modern day scheme)
      3.) USMC. (Modern day scheme)
      4.) USAF. (Modern day scheme)
      5.) Mercenary / what-If / “Other Nation” (Use your imagination!)

      Please use the supplied templates judiciously. The panel lines etc. are there for my personal edification… feel free to move them, add more… what ever suites your desired look. My references were limited and I did what I could.

      I’ve always been of the mindset that a good skin makes an okay model spectacular… DanW proved that to me time and time again.

      Please send your submissions to zur@zur-tech.com The very best get to ride in pole position for each category in the final release package.

      Notes:

      1.) Cockpit is a placeholder while I work on the actual one… Don’t get attached to it.

      2.) If you don’t see or hear the afterburner effect, I “borrowed” from the effect pack and elsewhere… don’t get your undies in a bundle… I intend to supply original ones upon final release.

      3.) FM, DM, load out etc are all just trial stuff… again don’t get attached.

      Download here: www.Zur-TECH.com

      Fly… have fun… paint submit. Most of all have fun."
