    4. Semi-fictional RNoAF F-16A Skin

331Skv, 332Skv and 338Skv of the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

What you get is a base skin in pale Norwegian colours with a set of decals to cover actual tail numbers for the three listed RNoAF squadrons. There are squadron crests to match each squadron. I have used a non-regulation Norwegian flag for the Fin Flash as I am no artist and I couldn't track down the right sort of decal.

One word of warning, this skin will work on Team Viper's F-16A Block 10 model, rather than the newer TMF vipers.

xevilpetex has released an updated version of Team Viper's F-16A Block 10:-

      http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=3099

Alternatively, Team Viper's Viper Pack is now available here at CA, complete with Norwegian skin:-

      http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=9775

Thanks to Team Viper (wpnssgt, Sundowner & Dave) for their F-16 pack, xevilpetex for his .ini updates, and wpnssgt for uploading a template for this plane.

Thanks also to Derk for advice on the RNoAF F-16.

Simply drop the folder "RNoAF2" into your /Objects/Aircraft/F-16A_10 folder, and go fly.

      Cheers,

      August 2009

      Update:

Fixed missing textures on tailplane and on engine exhaust nozzle skirting.

      3 September 2009 Update:

Removed top right and bottom left wing insignia
      Modified tailplane decal placement
Toned down certain panel lines on wings
Modified base skin colour in line with actual tones
      Changed nosecone colour
Renamed skin folder to avoid conflict with Team Viper's RNoAF skin.

    7. IDF Camo skin for TMF's F-16A Fighting Falcon Block 10 IDF:

This 'generic' skin for TMF's F-16A Netz Blk 10 includes tailmarkings for four IDF squadrons:

      110 (Knights of the North)
      117 (First Jet)
      140 (Golden Eagle)
      253 (Negev)

      INSTALLATION:
Extract the content of the archive and put the 'IDFCamo1' folder right into your F-16A_Blk10-IDF folder, while the content of the Decals folder goes to .../Objects/Decals.

If you don't have the F-16 yet, get it here:
      - http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=3502

      KNOWN ISSUES:
      - WOI-only skin, as it uses WOI's stock NetzSN decals.
      - You'll need to select the squadrons from the loadout menu.

      Have fun!

If you encounter any problems or if you have comments and/or suggestions, contact me at CombatAce.

BTW: You can use the bmps provided with this skin to update our older No.115 Squadron skin (http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=8880). To do so, copy F16-001.bmp, F16-002.bmp and F16-003.bmp to the 115IDF folder.

This is a fictional paint scheme for VF-1 Wolfpack, and is also my first low-viz scheme relying heavily on decals. This scheme is designed to combine the late 1970's to early 1980's low-viz scheme worn by the Wolfpack with the original scheme from 1972 before all aircraft had been delivered, providing hi-viz colors to the CAG and XO a/c. Aircraft numbers, BuNo's and notes are as follows:

      Aircraft BuNo Notes:
      NK100 158979 CAG bird in 1977
      NK101 158627 XO's bird from 1973-1979
      NK102 158984 NK105 in 1974, stricken 20 November, 1997
      NK103 158625 Became NF-14 testbed
      NK104 158993 Stricken 1 June 1992
      NK105 158986 VF-2 NK206 in 1977, rendered to AMARC in 1991
      NK106 158996 Crashed with VF-2 on 26 June 1977 at NAS Miramar
NK107 158616 "Deer Slayer"; struck and killed a deer on landing in 2001 with VF-101.
      NK110 158633 SARDIPed, stricken 25 Sept 2003
      NK111 159000 Stricken 1 June 1992
      NK114 158985 VF-2 NK200 (CAG Bird) in 1977, stricken 31 March, 1992
NK115 158629 Lost on 18 June 2000 at NAS Willow Grove, both crew killed

Thanks to the Mirage Factory for this amazing aircraft, and if you haven't gotten it already, I'd strongly reccomend the Tomcat cockpit repaint by The Trooper. It rocks, baby!
