    1. This replaces the stock airfield for both FE1 and FE2. The planes are spaced 25 meters apart instead of 15 and arranged in two rows, 10 meters apart. For smaller planes, like the Morane Saulniers, they will seem pretty far apart, but the larger planes, like the Farman F.40 and the Caudron G.4, can now take off without colliding.

In your Terrain folder, make a backup of your WW1_Airfield1.INI and replace it with mine. It will change all the airfields to the new configuration. All the parked planes and all the other spacing is the same as the stock airfield.

    2. SF2 FirstEagles2 Hi-Res Silver Series 1024x768 Menu Screens
      By Viper

This package contains a new version of my 1024x768 FE2 menus that are in the new Silver Border format like my 1920x1080 menus.

This mod includes custom WWI Air War themed menu, campaign and pilot screens. No other (Hangar, Loading) screens or INI files are changed. You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are MANY alternate screens (Inlcuding some vintage black/white version) I have in there that you might like better.

If you choose to install these screens, I recommend that you back up your MENU, FLIGHT, CAMPAIGNS and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup.

To install, simply unzip and copy the uncompressed MENU, FLIGHT, CAMPAIGNS and PILOTDATA folders into your FirstEagles2 mod folder.

Recommendation: I recommend that you RENAME your original MENU folder. The new copy from my package will then install cleanly and not conflict with any other mod you may have installed into the MENU folder.

    3. The Farman F.40 was a joint design by the two Farman Brothers, Maurice and Henri, combining features of the MF.11 and HF.22. Like the other Farman designs, placing the engine in the rear gave the gunner an open field of fire. The F.40 was used for reconnaissance and as a light bomber and was widely used by most of the Entente forces. The long wingspan gave stability, but made it slow to maneuver. French squadrons began replacing it in 1916.

My plane includes loadouts for a light bomb load and for Le Prieur rockets. I have included three skins, French, Belgian, and Russian. Decals and my skinning templates are included in the download.

I have included ojcar's "DummyMachineGun" data, Peter01's Lewis Machine Gun data and P10ppy's Le Prieur rockets with this download.

      Warning
The Farman F.40 has a wider wingspan than First Eagles expects so if you start on the runway, your wings will be touching the wings of the planes next to you. This will cause an immediate collision and you or other planes in your flight may lose their wingtips as soon as the game starts. Best to start in the air, or modify the airfield.ini in the terrain folder to space out the planes on the runway.

      Credits
Thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the Farman F.40 and for making the data for the dummy machine gun. And for helping me with the installation package for FE2.
Thanks also to P10ppy who made the Le Prieur rockets, and to Peter01 who made the data for the Lewis Gun.
Thanks also to Crowford who provided resources for the Farman cockpits.

      -----------------------------

      Installation Instructions
For FE1 - Unzip the file. Move the folder named "FarmanF40" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder.

For FE2 - Unzip the file. Move the folder named "FarmanF40" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "FarmanF40". Move the folder named "D" from your Aircraft/FarmanF40 folder into the Decals/FarmanF40 folder you just made.

You may not need to install the guns or rockets, they have been used on other planes and you may already have them. Instructions for installing the guns and rockets, if you should need them, are in a separate file included in this download.

    4. SF2 FirstEagles2 Hi-Res 1920x1080 Menu Screens
      By Viper

This mod includes custom WWI Air War themed menu, campaign and pilot screens. No other (Hangar, Loading) screens are changed. You should unzip the file and preview the new screens before installing them. I recommend doing this as there are some alternates of the screens in there that you might like better.

If you choose to install these screens, I recommend that you back up (copy) your MENU, FLIGHT, and PILOTDATA folders in the SF2 Mod folder you're installing this mod into. Just in case you want to go back to your original setup.

      * Menu Install...

To install, simply unzip and copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" (and not the folder itself) into your FirstEagles2 Mod folder.

To uninstall, simply delete the current MENU, FLIGHT, PILOTDATA folder and rename your backed up copies to be the active folders.

      * Optional Campaign Screens install...

In the "Optional" folder, I have some upgraded Campaign screens. These are just the screens, nothing else is changed. Also, I've not tested them, so use them at your own risk. If you back up (make a copy) your "Campaigns" folder, there shouldn't be any risk. Copy the Optional "Campaigns" folder to your FirstEagles2 Mod folder and over write if asked.

My Win97 mod folder was...(Yours may be different)...

      C:\Users\<your_id>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\FirstEagles2\

If you don't have a "Campaigns" folder, then you're running the stock Campaigns. If this is the case, you can just copy the optional "Campaigns" folder into your FirstEagles2 Mod folder. If you don't like or want them, you can just delete the "Campaigns" folder from your FirstEagles2 Mod folder and the game will go back to using the stock Campaign screens.

      Enjoy!

    5. This pack contains a variety of large, medium, and small industrial objects - plus two urban housing blocks. They were originally developed at the request of FE map makers so their appearance is typical of WW1. Wrench then pointed out that they could also be used for other maps - 1930s, WW2, and even parts of the Cold War. A modest selection of complimentary 1930s civilian vehicles is in development, and will be added in the future.

    6. This is a new skin for the Voisin3_120, part of the Voisin LAS-2 pack available in the CombatAce Aircraft Downloads area (under Other Entente Aircraft).

This skin is for a Russian Voisin LAS built at the Lebedev factory in Petrograd. It has a grey skin with the appropriate decals. Early in the war, Lebed built planes had a large company logo on the rudder. Later versions (after 1915) had a much smaller logo placed at the center of the standard Russian insignia. I have included both versions in the download.

These skins are made for the 120hp Voisin, but will also work on the 150hp version. They will not work on the Voisin Type V.

      Note
The inscription on the logo translates (approximately): "V.A. Lebedev Aeronautics Co., Ltd. - Petrograd"

      Credits
My thanks to Crowford who provided many resources for the logo, placement of the insignia, and for valuable help with the Cyrillic inscription.

      Installation instructions
Put the folders named "V3LebedEarly" and "V3LebedLate" into your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft/Voisin3_120 folder. Next, open my "PutInDFolder" and put all three files into the "D" folder for the Voisin3_120.

For FE1, it will be inside the Aircraft/Voisin3_120 folder.
for FE2, it will be inside the Decals/Voisin3_120 folder.

    7. The LVG C.II was an early German two seater. It had a ring-mounted Parabellum machine gun for the observer, later versions also had a LMG machine gun mounted on the fuselage for the pilot. It was used mostly for reconnaissance, but could also carry a small bomb load. The LVG C.II was the first plane to bomb London, in November 1915.

My version has three skins (grey, blue, and linen) and two sets of decals. There are two bomb loadouts, one with four light bombs, another with a single large bomb. I have included my skinning templates with the download.

      Credits:
My thanks to Ojcar for making the data.INI file for this plane and for resources to help with the shape of the fuselage.

      Installation instructions:
For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "LVGC2" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder.

For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "LVGC2" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "LVGC2". Move the folder named "D" from the Aircraft/LVGC2 folder into the Decals/LVGC2 folder you just made.
