Boeing AH-64A Peten mod Ver 1.0 for SF2

This is a third party add on of the AH-64A Apache using models and cockpits created by Dels.
Flight model and specific Israeli Peten mod was made by me.
It is designed for and works in the SF2 series of games.
This mod is made because of new upgraded Israel 2 Terrain by Wrench. - highly recommended by the way. Instead of working on Something Completely Different i was mixing with this great helo by Dels. So here it is.
AH-64A Peten mod is made as specific aircraft for Israel. Nation Name is changed to Israel and service start date set to 1990.
It was in my mind just simple mod (at the begining) but ended as little more complex. It is not perfect, but so far it works for now.
I have changed FM my way. So there is a lot of changes in data file.
It has a new engines system, new weapon stations, countermeasures and some other stuff.
I have also put life into TADS and PNVS. Just fun in external view.
And the most important thing is bumps, dispensers and whistles of Israeli Apache.
I wanted to make two paint versions so fake pilot is not much help here. So Peten mod is added by weaponstation. Anyway gun is always on board. So this is how it works here.
Some small changes into cockpit ini file.
Also new Fuel tanks (CARC green and IAF tan) are provided plus M260 and M261 rocket launchers with different warheads. (same as in Cobra packs)
Use vector thrust controll, rudder and controll throttle. It is easy to fly right now.
Still working on better FM.
WEAPONS
-------------
The AGM-114 Hellfire missiles and rails included in this package come from FastCargo's excellent "Hellfire and BrimStonefor SFP1/WOV/WOE (Version 1.1)".
All credit to FC for them, Dels have arranged them in folders for SF2 and made some minor .ini changes. Dels also made the AGM-114K Hellfire II using FC's AGM-114A model.
I made Hellfires as specific station code for IAF. Also skins are without US ARMY markings. So better to use this as it wil not overwrite anything in you weapons directory. Unless you named it same as me.
Hellfire rails are made by FastCargo. I just rename it. I had some issues with loadouts. So again here you should depend on loadout.ini file.
It always uses two rails upper M272 with two hellfires (up) and lower M299 (with two hellfires on bottom rails only)
I don't know why but on loadout with 4 hellfires on M299 - in game it was always 3 shown. Strange.
So to avoid conflicts with previous hellfire rails I made them as specific station code only for Peten.
I am always using Specific station code so I don't have mess in Loadout menu. I can only see weapons that I can/need to carry.
M260 and M261 Rocket launchers. There are two versions of these launchers CARC green and IAF Tan. Same as in my Cobra packs. You can overwrite (recomended). The only change here is display names. To avoid conflicts in loadout menu with previous launchers I changed CARCgreen to M260/M261.warhead.name.US and IAF Tan to M260/M261.warhead.name.IDF. You can overwrite. It wil still works with cobras and here with Peten and no mess with display names.
Launchers uses my Mk66 hydra rockets. Also here in pack. Same as in latest Cobra packs.
Important here is M230 ChainGun. It is a key to have a Peten mod for early green and late IAF camo.
Gun is loaded by weaponstation. Also coded.
New sound file for M230 is provided, with specific data entry into SOUNDLIST.ini.
Stingers are available for loadout but i did not put it into loadout.ini. I never seen IAF Apaches with Stingers. Not much hostile flyers there ?
No other IRM/ARM weapons allowed.

30MM_M230 same as in original Dels package but with edited sound file name.

113 Tayeset as they started to use Peten in 1990 and later also 190 Tayeset starting 1995.
190 Tayeset in new camouflaged tiger scheme from 2003/2004.
All serial numbers as far as I know are historicaly correct, based on available information and photos.

Copy files to specific folders.
You can add the following to your squadronlist.ini

Hughes OH-6A CAYUSE Ver 1.0 for SF2

This is a third party add on of the OH-6A CAYUSE using models* and cockpits created by me.
*External model is build by my friend Tomek Wachowski and me, years ago for differnt purpose. Fortunately he found some early work files on his hard drive and brought to me. With some work i was able to bring it back to life. Technicaly it is 80% new model compared to original old one flying somewhere out there.
The original flight model is standard as on many free to download helicopters.
I have just modified it a bit.
It is designed for and works only in SF2 series.
Few thing still needs to be done here. But I decided to upload it already.

This addon works only with my WeaponPACK (included in rar file). All of weapon stations are made as specific station code and will work only with this weapon pack.
Standard commands for activating Loach features:
OH-6A Loach:
ARRESTING HOOK - jump from pilot station to gunner station.
LANDING GEAR - Nose light deploy/retract at any speed. Don't forget to retract before shooting.
A2Ground mode - M70E1 gunsight.
In OH-6A Cayuse model XM70E1 gunsight will apear in cockpit and external model only when gun is loaded on weaponstation.
OH-6A Cayuse only:
ANIMATION 8 - front left door (ext and cockpit view)
ANIMATION 9 - front right door (ext and cockpit view)
ANIMATION 10 - rear door.
This helicopteris build in two variants. First is ‚clean’ out of factory OH-6A Cayuse. Just small scout chopper. This is additional aircraft to main file here.
OH-6A Cayuse as seen on many photos from Vietnam War. Known also as Loach.
In this model you can switch to rear gunner positionand actualy really hit ground targets with M60. You just have to aim throug rear – front sight line. Like in real gun.
It is not prefect but this game as you know is not supporting choppers, double cockpits and many many more things. So this time again it is just to have at least good feeling.
Gunner is made as internal weapon not weapon station. This way is better. Gunner is set as SECONDARY GUN by default.
You can really fly low and slow. And in Pink Team just mark targets for Cobra wingman.
I am sugesting to fly low on 40-50% of throttle. around 45degree vector control, use pulse rudder to control left right, it is realy easy. With little practice you can even hoover. Without fake flaps and airbrakes.
Important her to control is using rudder and vector thrust control.
Fuel. Remeber it is small chopper. And it can carry only around 54 US Gals of fuel. I belive it is enough for around 2 hours of flight here maybe little more.
Skins.
All serial numbers are historicaly correct.
Paint schemes and markings. I was trying to be acurate as much as possible in paint schemes and markins. Some skins for unit are generic because there were some little diferences within unit itself. Plus this schemes represents aircrafts used bu units during 2-3 year of service.
OH-6A Cayuse standard olive green paint with two serial numbers.
OH-6A Loach. Here i was trying to match my AH-1G Cobra.
All serial numbers are historicaly correct.

Story about Weapon systems.
Internal. Gunner with M60 400 round of ammo.
No flash by default. Because with cocpit movement on gunner station it apear somewhere on elbow. better when it is not there. It can be easy changed by setting entry on M60 in aircraftdata.ini to TRUE
Additional Weapons.
- Weapon Station 1
XM27E1 – M134 Minigun
M27 - as above redesignated an unfaired Minigun M134 since 1969.
XM8 – M129 40mm automatic grenade launcher. Not seen in Vietnam.
Plus some extra weapons that were spotted on photos from Vietnam War.
- Weapon Stations 2 & 3
Up to two single tubes for Mk40 FFAR rockets attached on skids, with different warhead rockets. M151, M156, M229, M255A1, M259, M257, M247.
- Weapon Station 6
Experimental quad launcher unit developed by Rock Island Arsenal attached inside cargo compartment. Similiar to system mounted later in exported versions of H-500 Series. Very rare, seen on few pictures from Vietnam War but it was there.
Do not mix Weapon station 2 and 6 on loadouts menu. Meaning to be correct 2 or 1 single tube OR Quad launcher.
- Weapon Station 7
Most interesting is 7 tube XM158 launcher attached to XM27 susbsytem instead of 7.62mm minigun. Very rare field mod probably instaled only on one aircraft (no. 67-16321). I just used two versions with M151 and M156 warheads.
- Weapon Stations 4 & 5
Smoke grenades. DO NOT GIVE THEM TO WINGMAN.
Just five colours of smoke grenades, Yellow, White, Green, Red, Violet. I am not sure if this will support available color smoke effects. So probably wil need to create new smoke effects or mod smoke grenades.
- Weapon Station 8
Exhaust modification in late Loaches. Starting 1972 when SA-7 was threatening US crews this mod was often instaled on scout choppers. Same purpose as on late G Cobra models. I will apear on aircraft by default starting 1973 due to loadout.ini file.
- Weapon Stations 9, 10, 11, 12.
Not to be used on OH-6A !
Purpose of this is to play Pink Team on single mission with armed AH-1G Cobra.
In single mission on loadout menu you can change wingman aircraft to any available AH-1G Cobra and arm it with designated weapons for Cobra. If you don't like this option you can easly disable this by puting \ mark in data.ini file in front of weapon station entry.

This model represents the lisence-built AH-64D as used by the Japan Ground Self Defense Force. Paint job and decals are representative of the 3rd Attack Helicopter Squadron.
I have packaged and uploaded this by request from a friend who did all the skin and decal work. Original Apache model by Dels, which you will also need for the weapons. See the readme for more details.

This is the MV-22B Osprey v2.2 by Zurawski updated for the Strike Fighters 2 Series.
As well as updating it for SF2 I have added a few extra bits:
-The BAE Remote Guardian GAU 17 minigun turret. It can be loaded and unloaded via a dedicated weapons station but can be fired forwards by the pilot only.
-A ‘ghost’ BAE Remote Guardian GAU 17 minigun turret. This the best way I could represent the Remote Guardian turret engaging targets to defend the aircraft. What it is is a gunner station located in the correct position that fires the GAU 17 at any enemy air targets. However there is no 3d model to go with it. So what you get is the GAU 17 minigun turret that you can see and fire straight ahead. When the AI gunner engages a target you will see the muzzle flash and tracer fire coming from mid air in the area where the GAU 17 minigun turret is. If you don’t like the idea of this there is a second data.ini file you can use which will disable the AI gunner.

Note: has only been tested on an all game merged vertion of SF2 but should be fine on any individual installs (I hope)

UH-1H Bushranger Gunship for SF2

This aircraft represents the Bushranger Gunship version of the UH-1H Huey helicopter operated by the Australian Defence Forces. It is fitted with 2x M134 Miniguns and 2x Rocket Launchers fixed forward.
I haven't been able to model the mountings for the weapons, so the LAU/3 rocket pods just sort of hang in space alongside the aircraft, and the miniguns can't be seen at all. However they do work, which is the main thing!
This mod has been tested in a merged install of SF2. Weapons are in SF2 format. I haven't modified the FM at all from the original release, so I make no guarantees about flight performance.
Installation.
This package is only a partial mod. It requires you to have the Australian Army UH-1H Huey by Richard "Gramps" Kaminski already installed. You can find it here:

This mod contains replacement aircraft data files for that helo, adding the weapons and converting it to the Bushranger gunship variant.
Copy the following files to the UH-1H folder located in the Aircraft directory inside the Objects folder in your game install, replacing the originals.

There is also a M134 folder for the M134 miniguns which should be placed in the Guns folder in the Objects folder. If the Guns folder doesn't already exist in the Objects folder, you can create it. This weapon is in SF2 format, so will not work for SF1 users.
