SF2 WW2 MTO Macchi C.200 'Saetta' (Stand-In) by Raven                          10/15/2026

-For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 5 Merged Recommended)

Due to the unavailability of most of the Regia Aeronautica's WW2 Fighters and Fighter-Bombers, I've taken it upon myself to give the WW2 players SOMETHING to have in their Hangars that would be useful in the MTO.
So, following that logic, I present a somewhat (lots!) Modified Version (tm) of Raven's Hercules Hurricane Mk.IIa, now standing in for the Macchi C.200 "Saetta". Having gone over every single radial engine aircraft we have, this is the closest in shape. I hope you all take this in the spirit offered. (Maybe I should have called it a "Faccki C.200???)
This entire mod is set up to NOT conflict with the Saetta from 'The Other Place', if you have it, by using specific naming conventions that won't.

The aircraft is painted in standard(ish) RA North Africa camouflage, base brown with irregular dark green splotches. I've assigned it to 167 Squadriglia, 16 Gruppo, who historically DID fly the Saetta.

The skin remains in standard bmp format, in 1024x. I've also included Raven's templates inside the aircraft's main folder for anyone that wants to attempt any skins in the other RA camo patterns. All markings, excepting the cowl and fuselage ID bands, are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. You'll also have 15 'plane-in-group' number decals, as per RA standards. A new Hangar Screen, in the 'parked on the ramp style' was created for this mod. I also converted my original 'Box Art' hangar screen as well. A simple text edit of the main ini can switch them back or forth.

Everything is included: a WW2 Italian bomb, the guns, pilot figures and so forth.
You'll also be adding a 'new' sound, so have your SoundList ini. extracted, or be ready to extract it and add the new sound's data. Full instructions are below, in the "To Install" section

On the Aircraft Selection Drop Down Screen you'll see:

Macchi C.200 Saetta (SI-Raven)

Obviously, 'SI' is for stand in. Raven, the model maker.

As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!!
Please read the Notes section for any other useless bits of information, the change log and whatever random thoughts passed through my head..
Please also take note of changes in the Standard Disclaimer in the "Legal BS" section at the bottom.

Happy Landings!
