Is anyone else having issues with the latest Nvidia updated drivers causing SF2 to stall out at 80% most of the time, and when it eventually loads, only last for approximately 10-20 seconds before CTD? I'm using an Nvidia 4060TI at 3440x1440 resolution, and this happens with any a/c, on any terrain. The only change from yesterday to today, was the newest drivers. Rolling back to the last set of drivers didn't solve the problem either, so whatever it is, I am at a loss.

But only in SF2. ODS is unaffected.

to be clear, you mean regular SF2 is affected, but the ODS30AE mod is not?

and when did the driver update? my 5080 card is on its way to teh shop, but the 1660ti in my laptop isnt having issues

All fine on my end with the latest 580.97 Nvidia drivers. Make sure in the game's options that you're using the Nvidia GPU. SF2 has a bad habit of selecting the integrated GPU instead, and I used to have such crashes with Intel's integrated GPU.

To be even more specific, SF2NA is the one giving me fits. And no, ODS30AE is unaffected. I'm still looking for a culprit, and it doesn't appear anyone else is seeing this, so it must be something on my end.

ok trying to break this down

- it works in ods30ae

- it opens up, and then crashes at 80% loading when you run in NA

doe it do this for any other install (Europe, Vietnam etc)

does it doe this on a vanilla stock install?

to the smarter heads than me, what causes pauses/crashes at 80%?

@Menrva any ideas on what about ODS might make it less susceptive to a GPU issue?

Works in ODS30AE

Does NOT do this for any other install. SF2E still runs stretched out on a curved monitor, but no issues other than that..

SF2I runs just fine, as does SF2V.

IF I can get it to 80% in NA, CRASH.

IF it loads completely, 10 seconds later, sound stutters, and CRASH.

Of course, NA was the install I was using to run my mods on, as it was the best suited for it. Until 5 days ago, anyway.  I'm still trying to figure it out, but so far, zero luck.

No. As I already explained previously, @Nightshade/PR should check the in-game options. Each mod folder has its own Options.ini. It's very likely he's not using the dedicated GPU in SF2NA. There's an option in the options menu screen to select the proper GPU and graphics settings, including resolution and aspect ratio. I have nothing else to suggest.

BTDT. All my installs are running on the dedicated GPU, and this issue only affects 1 of them. It's not a showstopper; just annoying, and after much checking, I'm pretty sure it's a driver issue. If the next update doesn't resolve the problem, I'll go from there.

So it is just NA having the issue?

If you create a seperate copy of the NA exe and create a new install without mods does it work fine?
