Hi there, it's me once more. I'm reaching out to ask for your assistance with my old 3ds Max 2009. I'm facing an issue where every time I right-click to access the quad menu, it brings up a frozen gray box that only disappears when I exit the program. I'd like to find a way to disable the right-click for the quad menu, but I'm not sure how to do that. I've looked everywhere in my 3ds Max, but I can't seem to locate the setting. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I've attached a screenshot for reference.

Sorry to sound like a retired IT guy but did you upgrade software that you are aware of? This does sound like the gloopy sort of issue you might get if Windows did some sort of update and created a compatibility issue with older application software. Driver updates can do some weird stuff too.....................

Your PC specs do not mention your OS. What version of Windows do you run?

I'm sorry. I don't run 3ds max so I won't be much help there.

I use an iMac at work and sometimes, something similar happens with InDesign. In my case, it's a GPU-related issue.

GKABS, see if this can help. I had a very similar issue on a newer computer build where the menus would randomly disappear or get "torn up."  Installing the 3ds Max Service Pack was step 1.
But after that, the most important "fix" for me was to change the default rendering to Direct3D rather than OpenGL, Software renderer, etc.  Maybe give this a shot and see if it helps.

I just tried that, but 3D Max won’t launch after the installing the Service Pack, 😆. I’m currently restoring my last backup, so I’m really hoping it returns to how it was! It should take around four hours before I know if it was successful 😅. I really appreciate all your support and for being there when I needed assistance!

PS. It's all from windows 11 😡

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that!  I actually had the opposite problem to begin in, I couldn't get 3DS Max to launch WITHOUT the Service Pack, go figure!

I agree, I absolutely hate Windows 11 with a passion.  One other thing that did help, and of course your results may vary, is turning off/disabling the stupid OneDrive integration everywhere!
