Stratos Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Found this while surfing one of my fav webs, it's an old post but the concept is so radical that I tought you will enjoy discovering it. A carrier based, prop Me-163. Would be a interesting addition for Take off and to get closer to the target, then you engage the rocket engine while the propeller blade folds like seen in some powered saiplanes... Gepard Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Such a small prop engine would not have enough power to be usefull for a fighter plane.

Tannethal Posted Thursday at 08:59 PM Posted Thursday at 08:59 PM This thing is hilarious, a skid landing rocket glider with a tailhook. At least the trolley would not bounce back from the sea at takeoff. Upon spotting the post thought about premature aprils fool entry.... But from scale modelers viewpoint a finely crafted model.
