GKABS Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago What antivirus software? You can always add the game to the antivirus software's safe list; that way, it will ignore it and run without the antivirus software intervening.
Sundowner Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago That is very strange, all my SF2 installs have worked perfectly on Win 10 for me. I've not had to make any changes to anything.

Set Compatibility Mode: This is often the first and most effective step. · Right-click on your StrikeFighters2.exe file and select Properties. · Go to the Compatibility tab. · Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows 7 from the dropdown menu. Also if that doesn't fix it try to make it use DirectX 9 You can do this by adding a command line parameter to the game's shortcut. Here is the requested direction: 1. Locate the shortcut you use to launch Strike Fighters 2. 2. Right-click on the shortcut and select Properties. 3. In the Target field, you will see the path to the .exe file inside quotation marks (e.g., "C:\Program Files (x86)\Strike Fighters 2\StrikeFighters2.exe"). 4. Click at the very end of this line, outside the final quotation mark, and add a space, followed by -dx9. It should look like this: "C:\YourGamePath\StrikeFighters2.exe" -dx9 Make a backup of the file before changing and i hope that will help you. 2

MigBuster Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago They ran in Win 10 and now Win 11. These may no longer be relvent but I still do the following: I still install them outside of the more protected areas like Program files and x86. Tick Run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 Tick Disable Full screen optimisations Tick Run this program as administrator Am thinking Win / Xbox Game mode may need ot be turned off. I see this has just been posted anyway. 1

Flanker562 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Nice you finally moved on I see. It's good that you're flying at least though but I don't have much to offer than I ran things fine, though it does take a while to load on my Win 11 machine.
