What are you even talking about? AFAIK Desert Storm was for SF2, not SF1, so if there's issues, then that's not a surprise at all. Get SF2 and see it in it's glory.

No need for the attitude dude, I don't visit the SF1 section, haven't since earlier this year when fixing the images, so I don't remember ALL the files.

Don't jump on me because you poorly worded your question either, I don't remotely know what you're talking about.

check that you have a fake pilot mod in your pilots

many cases of legs hanging below are from the aircraft having a fakepilot part, but not generic fake_pilot in the proper folder. its a way to add parts to original models after the lod is created, but the game will put a stock pilot in the place if you dont have the fake pilot (it just calls up empty space, one usually suffices)

i will say that if you can, its better to move to SF2.  ODS30AE is light years ahead of eburgers ODS (which was great in its own time). but yeah,  i get it wallets are tight round the world lately

Considering I built the map for it, there sure is a WoE version of DS.

No, the OP is talking about removing the legs from the COCKPIT (as stated "can't see the radar screen"). That early TMF pit has the pilots legs as part of the cockpit lod. Removing the texture for it won't change a thing

There's nothing that can be done for that.

And to the original poster -- loose the attitude pal. There are some people, even Mods and Admins that may NOT know of ALL the 5900 odd files we have. Even I've missed a few.

Your problem can be solved quite easily. But you’ll need the Mue's Lodviewer to find out the name of the pilot’s legs in the cockpit.

Open the COCKPIT.INI file in Notepad. In the [CockpitSeat001] section, add the following line, replacing XXX with the sequential number in the instrument list:

Instrument[XXX]=Move1

Then scroll down through the file and add the following lines at the end:

Move1

Tupe=INACTIVE

NodeName= <----- Enter the node name of the pilot's legs here, as shown by the LodViewer.

Save the file. This should help.

Enjoy! 😁

Nice attitude... NOT!
Don't expect help when you act entitled and childish...

Sorry, I made a mistake!  🤭

Of course, it's not “Tupe,” but Type= ...

If you look at your post, and see the "..." you should be able to self edit your own post.

Yeah, if I'd noticed the mistake right away, I would have edited the post. As far as I remember, we're allowed to edit a post within half an hour here. But I didn't notice the mistake until a few hours later. After all, I did apologize... 🤗

Ahh okay gotcha.

actually, there's 2 leg nodes

//leg removal//

Instrument[096]=Move1
Instrument[097]=Move2

[Move1]
Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR
NodeName=Leg01
MovementType=POSITION_Z
Set[01].Position=-9.0
Set[01].Value=0.0
Set[02].Position=-9.0
Set[02].Value=1.0

[Move2]
Type=AIRSPEED_INDICATOR
NodeName=Leg02
MovementType=POSITION_Z
Set[01].Position=-9.0
Set[01].Value=0.0
Set[02].Position=-9.0
Set[02].Value=1.0

didn't even take me 5 minutes, including a pee break. of course, been 'moving' items for 20 years ....

OTH, it makes the cockpit look like crap because it's empty. So, I guess using the radar screen 'pop up' wasn't an option??

Thanks for finally resolving the issue!

That approach would definitely work, too. I didn't have access to the F-16 cockpit files, so I just described a general approach that could have worked as well — if I, being a bit of a scatterbrain, hadn't forgotten (twice!🫢 ) to include the square brackets in the [Move1] line... 🙃

But you really tied up all the loose ends. 👍

I'm sorry dude, but you don't dictate anything on this forum, topic, or site. You are a user. If I give out erroneous info then that's my fault. You don't make the calls here dude.

I keep coming back to this thread whenever I run into the same issue, hoping that someone who knows more than I do has found a solution. That's why it's frustrating to come back and find notifications or replies that don't actually move the discussion forward. I wasn't trying to tell anyone what they can or can't post—I just meant that off-topic replies make it harder for people looking for a real solution.

I see, well you've been off topic too, so I don't know what point you're trying to make.

aceplayer:

what, are you blind or just stupid??? You didn't see the post by me, 4 posts above this one??? Not only gave you the answer, but full instructions on what to do. AND a picture of what it looks like?

Go on, keep going the way you are; you don't loose that attitude, you'll be bounced out of here so fast your feet won't even hit the ground.

This thread is DONE -- and one more mouth off from you, so are YOU!

Why we even waste time on these 1stGen questions, is beyond me.
