Mad_Max Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago I was just wondering that how to manually select targets for mavericks? can't it be done like in DCS world
Flanker562 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Look, it's not convoluted like DCS ever will be. Press E for the initial target (If it's a Strike Mission), then shoot your Mavs. For targets of opportunity ensure you have a targeting pod and fire away using the E key. You don't need to do any special procedures for shooting them. 3
daddyairplanes Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago simpler than that, anything targetable can be locked up by a Maverick anything not on the target list (that cant shoot back at you) wont be lockable. so if the target is a fuel tank, you can select the Maverick. but if you want to hit teh hangars nearby you'll need to use bombs or rockets as mentioned, anything that can shoot at you can also be targeted. best practice (in SF2) is to use Mavericks for the AAA and mobile SAMs, use bombs of what ever flavor on buildings and runways and cbu or rockets on vehicles now my question: what does Maverick targeting have to do with terrain avoidance? 3
Wrench Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Quote now my question: what does Maverick targeting have to do with terrain avoidance? That would have been my question too! TA is something you should always do, either visually or via the autopilot. It's a very bad thing to NOT avoid the terrain. 3
