I do not want to make a mess here, although I might be good at it. But. I just want to give advice...in the modeling process. There are plenty, like a shitload of models, free for download. Easy to download, with little knowledge of how to ..you can have it in-game... But. There is a catch. And I want you all to think about it twice. 90% of those models are rips from other games, older games, and so on. Very popular is Cold Waters, those two online - War Thunder and that other one about airplanes...So buttheads rip games, and then they post models for free. There are a few guys on known websites that, without any lube, rip models from any game and just post them like it's their own...Yea..fine free to download..but this is generally property of someone...So...No Fuck no. This is not their work..and while I do not give a flying fuck if they are ripping it for themselves, posting it as an asset for download is already a dick move. And so on..I noticed that some of those models make their way into our old sim...this is a dick move too. Fine, use it...if you do not have respect for others' work...but. Do not expect to earn any respect either. 

So please.

I see that what I posted as a screenshot bothers you, believe me, I didn't know I shouldn't do that, I didn't post the models because they're not mine of course, I converted them for my soul, I didn't act cocky, as you say, I shared my joy, nothing more.

So, relax and enjoy life.

what you do on your system is up to you. the world is grey and some folks operate in teh darker grey, some in the lighter. 

when we see posts, we generally hope that what we see will become available. 

to post ripped files here of course violates community standards, while mere pics of them in game do not.

but it does disappoint when stuff gets posted and there will not be any way of sharing on here

Of course, how many times I was also disappointed when I saw so many published pictures of models that were never published in the download section. Worse, when I asked about those models, I was told they couldn't share. And why are they posting pictures? Anyone who asks me, I will be happy to cooperate. Btw, interesting that I don't see the message option on my account anymore!

No, it does not bother me. I do not give a siht about it...But I know it bothers guys who worked on Cold Waters assets.

 

If modder thing now is stealing models from other games...then I am not sure if I want to be in that company....

Guess shades selling pirated CDs on the wet market is called a musician too? Just a thought... following logic.

I've been alerted to the issue. Seeing that you don't have the common courtesy to reply to my private messages about your files, I disabled it. Now that we have your attention maybe you can tell all of us as to why you shared models that belonged to someone else? When I contacted you about uploading your files that belonged to others, was image marked, and reminding you about our requirements for uploading content, you ignored me and did it again. This is unacceptable from anyone in our Modder community.

You say our Privacy Policy is too strict for you. Is this why you posted the images in hopes others would PM you and ask for the files? You were informed that uploading improperly obtained content is not permitted, by us or the community. For clarity here is what you agree to before uploading files.

By submitting a file you agree to the following terms:

All files being uploaded to CombatACE.com will be reviewed prior to being released to the public. To make sure your file is compatible with our community please review and include the following information.

    - The file you are submitting is 100% your own work and not based on another's intellectual property.
    - If your file is based on another's work or intellectual property you have obtained their permission to use their work.
    - If your file is based on another's work and they have signed the Modder's Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy you have clearly stated in your read-me and in the description.
    - Your file includes screenshots.
