CombatACE passes two petabytes

[Erik]

Over the 20 plus years CombatACE has been serving files we are reaching a milestone and I thought I'd share. CA crossed the two petabyte mark this morning which sounds innocent enough but that translates into two-million gigabytes of data transfer. Translated that's one-hundred plus gigabytes per day with our average being closer to two-hundred gigabytes. Now I know this is nothing in comparison to some of the real data players in today's age but for a little site built to serve a niche, it's pretty impressive.

I got worried for second when I misread petabytes ...

Good for Us!! I didn't even know such a number existed!

[MarkEAW]

So that was on your dime then. Most of it?

[Flanker562]

I mean that's pretty impressive by itself, congrats though on this Erik!

[Extebann]

Awesome!

It feels like yesterday when I about Wings Over Europe and Strike Fighters 2 from a big box store. The actual disks that led me on this great journey to this website and that was roughly 16 years ago according to the bio. You know, let me knock the dust off the HOTAS and load up strike fighters.
