serverandenforcer 33 Posted January 29, 2009 ...I enlisted into the United States Air Force and began an interesting and rewarding journey serving my country which included a tour in Iraq from Sep '06 to Mar '07. Hoping on another 26 years of service. Just wanted to throw that out. I know it's nothing compared to how long all the other military members here have served. charlielima 328 Posted February 4, 2009 February 9th, marks 31 years for me. Keep goin' kids! Wow! Thats Epic. Good luck to all who choose this life and wish to do it as long as they can. I believe most carreers are cut short by politics and nuisance health events then warfare these days. In the mid fifties USN flight surgeons worked my dads eyes over for a ridicuolus amount of time on an exam until he failed. I guess someone thought the Navy had to many Naval Aviators at the end of the Korean War. CL
Lt. James Cater 62 Posted February 4, 2009 (edited) Taking in everything from the Reserves to a brief stint as RA to the National Guard with periods in IRR in between , i belonged to Uncle Sam from 1985 to 1992. If they would ask me back i'd go without a seconds hesitation. Edited February 4, 2009 by Lt. James Cater
