Boffins? Are they as dangerous to aviation as

starlings, seagulls, canadian geese, or flying tree eels?

My understanding is that "boffin" is England-slang for what we think of as a "mad scientist."

Vampyre, the fact that you see the charge and hear the countdown, plus the fact that C5 is not, to my knowledge, a complete idiot indicates he was well aware of it but thought it funnier to present it that way. ^^

Dang, and now I'm competing with you for the title of Captain Obvious -_-

I made the comment for those to whom it was not obvious and i did see the humor in it so I stated the obvious to avoid any confusion.

Hey us Boffins (Mad Scientist hmmmm I resemble that retort) aren't dangerous just we enjoy making things go Bang in the most interesting and unusual way... especially involving explosives.....

Plan is to provide the Eels with parachutes....

Mad scientists are defenitely dangerous. They will guaranteed cause at least as much damage as geese or seagulls but most likely more than that as mad scientists are generally of a larger mass than geese or seagulls.

But the risk of sucking boffins into your turbine in flight is relatively low... Unless they wear jetpacks.

The moral of this story--make scientists happy, not mad. Don't go around pissing them off.

That's just the thing with mad scientists. You never know where you have them or what they are up to. And they often do wear jetpacks.
