Lewie Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Considering that this sim covers the entire front from Neuiport down to Mulhouse, does Flanders figure strongly in this? Uwe Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I'm sure this will sound a bit "yankish" but... Over Flanders Fields: "Over There" ...just going for the short name. Quote
Buddy1998 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Interesting discussion thread. I'll add my two cents... I wonder if "OFF" will even be in the name at all?? WW1 Combat Flight Simulator (Oops.. not to be confused with MS Combat Flight Simulator) Quote

Quoth Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 Ok, time to join in OFF: Covenant with Death? I know it's a book title and film title but.... Originally I believe from the Old testament "We have made a covenant with death and with hell are we at agreement......" Just my 2p worth Cheers Quoth Quote
Dej Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 (edited) Something a little tongue-in-cheek maybe... OFF: Arcade Mode? A few surprises in store for them as believes that. BTW... Olham, what's the equivalent German idiom for 'tongue-in-cheek', please (just curious)? Edited January 19, 2012 by Dej Quote
Olham Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 That would be "augenzwinkernd" ("with a twinkle of the eye") or "mit Hintergedanken" ("with ulterior motive(s)"; "with a hidden agenda"). Quote
carrick58 Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 " Hintergedanken " is that kinda like dating ? Quote
Olham Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 Carrick, "Hintergedanken" means "thoughts behind the 'visual' thoughts" so to say. Someone does this or that for you, and first you think "How kind of him to do that!", but later you may understand, that there was another thought behind that action. Quote

Dej Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Taking inspiration from Alex Revell's excellent and moving biography of Arthur Rhys Davids, how about OFF: Brief Glory? Quote
Olham Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Good title - like many of the more famous book titles would be. "No Parachute!", "Above the Lines", "Flying Fury"... Why not? Quote
