Here is my home town, Lester Prairie, Minnesota.

And the family manse, Chez Larson.

I've travelled around this world a fair bit over the years and seen many a wonderous place, but there's no place like home.

Cheers!

Heres some pics of my town ( its more like an area on a map with a border around it and a name on it, no real "town" to speak of.)

This shot is about 1 minute from my house

From Bottom to Top: Whitchurch, Hampshire, where I live. And it's most famous resident (at present) Richard Adams, author of Watership Down, also pictured. It's about 6 miles NE of Whitchurch. Three and a half miles away is Longparish, birthplace of Lanoe Hawker. Couple of pictures of that then one of the house Lanoe was born in, Home Croft, currently for sale at £395,000 and his grandparents' house - Longparish House... on the market a couple of years ago for £9m!

Great pictures Gous!

We were at that very place just two months ago (Here are our pictures).

My family all agree that we enjoyed Greece the best. We wanted to get out to the islands and just didn't have the time. Sure enjoyed the trip to the coast and that little park there along the coast was beautiful!

Thanks for sharing!

HomeBoy's HomeStead. Yeah, I know, needs a little work but it's very nice on the inside. The area has sorta gone to pot over the last few years but it's home.

Saumur, Loire Valley, France

A river, a castle, many white stone houses and 30 000 people to lived in.

Horses and cavalery is a major part of the local history.

Had my Biggest ever Carp from the Loire Valley Snoopy...at 66kg.... Love your neck of the woods, and look forward to a return trip someday!

Don't forget to let me know when you'll be back in the area...i'll be glad to see you.

Well, i'm not a fisher but many of my friends are. Sorry to break the charm of the tourist guide, but did you know there is a nuclear plant just 10 miles upstream, at Chinon.

It's said that fishes are bigger over there  .

Nice pictures, everyone. I'd post pictures of my town, but the only interesting sites are the Air Force Museum and a replica of the Wright Bicycle shop. Well, here's a pic of downtown...

and the Art Institute, which has the original "Water Lillies" by Van Gogh, among others

Are you sure that isn't Water Lilies by Claude Monet?

I feel quite provincial posting these pics of such humble surroundings. They can't hold a candle, of course, to some other offerings posted by our more urbane, sophisticated pilots, but I figure if the Wright Brothers could fly out of a cow pasture, it's good enough for me. The lack of neon is offset by copious amounts of lobster [the Atlantic Ocean is just a mile down the road.] and the beer is first-rate; a micro-brewery is just a mile down the road. (but in the other direction.) I'll have to admit, there is some suburban sprawl about a half-mile out of the camera frame, but if you know the right roads, most of it can be avoided.
