CRAP!

A lot. Today our little creeper filled his diaper with the first "normal" poo after his birth. Away with the

smell-less black goo, hello to the yellowy green stinky paste! I had the honour again to find out

and deal with it. I recall the CS exercises in the army not being that nasty!!!

Oh yeah, and it looked like he smiled at me when I opened his diaper....

Thanks son!

Guys and girls, me being a father is the best thing that has happened to me in years (especially the ones who

understand my recent past know what I mean) and I want to thank all of you for the warm remarks. I'm happy

to be part of this small community. Thanks!

Iwan, Eveline and Sen.

Yeah, I fear the poo!

Last night he gave us the first sleepless night in an endless row to come I'm afraid.

Oh well, it's just a (loooooooooooooong) phase.

But he's already a womanizer, so in 16 years I advise you to lock up your daughters!

My wife and Sen are going outside for the first time today since he was born.

Although the weather sucks (chilly and rain) it is good for Sen to build up

his resistance. He'll be a tough guy!

We slept through this night, although we took turns in changing diapers.

This meant a solid sleep for about 3 hours, which is good!

Now it's the weekend, we have sent our birth announcement cards so we are expecting

a lot of e-mails and phone calls. A digital card is in the making, I'll post it here, too.

have a nice weekend all!

Presents presents presents.

Sen is getting a lot of stuff, and he is almost covered in cuddly toys and

nice clothes for the next 4 months. Flowers cover the living room, and there

was even a little present for me!!! Nothing baby like, just a good old book about

the most remarkable automobiles of the world. A real daddy gift!

Postcard decorate all walls, even from people we just distantly know. It's

nice to see, in the next days I will scan in the postcard we made and add it here.

Have a nice and lazy Sunday, I know I will have a nice one....

I am happy!

Never imagined some "side effects" of pregnancy and parenthood would be SO rewarding!

My wife gives breastfeeding to Sen, so there's production of milk. Nice result; "they" grow!!!!!!!

I already knew that, but now I am witness of a nicer pair than they already were.

Hence:

-Milk-----------------------> Sen happy!

-Huge bewbeez--------> Daddy happy!!!

Congrats to your entire family :drinks: And welcome in club of proud dads :clapping:

I echo this gentleman's remarks to you. Try Search baby talks. Every week u and ur wife will witness NEW wonders this newborn will show. There's a really traditional way of helping babies to start walking quicker here among us JAVANESE people in Indonesia. Of course, I do not recommend anyone having newborn to consume it BEFORE they reach the age of, say, EIGHT month (they started to eat really tender bay foods at six months old).

And wahat is is it? It is time-tested, and VERY safe one: prepare/make (later, when ur baby starts eating/slurping soups at 7 months or 8 months): CHICKEN feet SOUPS!

As is the case in many parts of Indonesia, of course in Central Java (Google Earth it), we consume MORE the KAMPONG (in the villages) chicken, not those 'modern ones' ladden with CHEMICAL (fast food nation rings a bell?).

Cook those KAMPONG chicken FEET (a miimum of TEN, the feet I mean -- clean them thoroughly) till the water in the pan boils. Do not forget to ADD ONIONS (instead of slicing them, I simply CRUSH them with a little bit heavy objects, and clean ones). No ARTIFICIAL herbs or whatever u call them.

Add a little bit salt.

Hmm, yummy yummy even u the BIG baby will like it!

Trust me, I am a daddy of three already.

p.s.

DO NOT USE MICROWAVE OVEN!!!!

Wonder why in Russia/Soviet Unions since 1970s MW Oven had been FORBIDDEN????

Do not believe what I say re MW Oven danger? Put a glass of PLAIN water in it, and zap it for a couple of minutes. Let it cool, and......TOSS the microwaved water to whatever small plants at ur home!

They will DIE!

Congrat to u and ur wife.

Sen is three weeks old now.

It's a little bundle of joy, but also a handful.....

Stubborn and short tempered, he almost is a

small version of mum and dad combined. What a

worries we will have in the future.

On the other hand he's a little man who already makes

the women's hearts go wild. His blue eyes, dark blonde hair

and healthy skin colour (a bit of a teint like daddy) make

them melt. I chuckle, thinking of what will happen

if Sen hits puberty. A new girl for every week, parents

around us beware! I now think I am happy we have a son

and not a daughter. I would be over protective if such a

sleek dude would live in the same neighbourhood.

Curfew around 20.00 hours, no bf's before 16 years of age

and so on and so on. I would lock her up, but thankfully that's

not the case. We will have other worries for sure!

PS: pictured in his little camo suit he was given by my fellow veterans,

with in the background the orange blanket which was a gift from his godfather.

A month!

A whole month! Our son is 1 month old! That means I have (barely) survived one month of:

-Loud crying.

-Uncontrolled movements resulting in pain.

-Sleepless nights.

-Poopy diapers.

-More poopy diapers!

-Even more and more poopy diapers.

-Pee fountains.

And so on, and so on. Often when visitors arrive, he's all sunshine and cuteness. Upon their leave, Sen turns into son-of-Satan (that would be me...)

and will test my patience until he and/or I fall asleep. One o'clock at night, 2 or 3... all possible!

Next to that, he's one charming little crawler. Smiles a lot, makes strange faces (not from me...) and farts like a real man after

a night of beer. Wow! He's the master! This Easter weekend he will visit the grandparents. See how that ends!

Have a nice weekend all!

Prince Charming.

That's what I call him now. We are now in the position to go out

and visit people again. Of course with Sen in the baby seat.

What he does when we are visiting, is behaving at his best and charm the

pants of anyone (particularly female... good boy). And then

that person is part of his growing fan club. What they do not know is

that Sen gets his fit when we arrive back home. All impressions have to

be processed, so he is twitchy and very awake. That can last up to

a whole day. Imageine, AGAIN sleepless nights...

When you tell those earlier mentioned people that Sen has a dark side

they wave it off, leaving us with a hyperactive critter.

So, conclusion: until Sen can change his own diapers, eat his own solid

foods, go to ralatives and friends by himself, he is grounded!

Hair.

He's got it. He has lots of it. It's getting blonder and blonder every day,

after a bath it looks like it is static. Everything standing up like he

has nibbled on an electricity socket.

I am thinking of renaming Sen with a proper name, I think Hairy is a good one....
