Slartibartfast 153 Posted March 18, 2010 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/03/18/f35b_hover_flight/ Looks like the F-35 hovers... and the more I look at it the more I prefer it to the godawful Boeing effort...
Rambler 1-1 9 Posted March 19, 2010 It's stealth, supersonic and it can hover. That is just plain old awesome. Where have I heard of that combination before...?

TX3RN0BILL 3 Posted March 19, 2010 No friggin way! The F/A-37 is way more sexier than the F-35... although of course Jessica Biel's looks beat all, hands down, no questions asked!
Nesher 628 Posted March 19, 2010 didn't it do it 2-3 years ago? anyway, one hot jet... too bad it's coming later than expected to Israel
JediMaster 451 Posted March 19, 2010 The X-35B did it even farther back than that.

Rambler 1-1 9 Posted March 22, 2010 The millenium Falcon, of course. Actually, I was thinking of Airwolf, but whatever. As for the price, maybe Lockheed just jacked it up because they realized how awesome this puppy is gonna be, and they figured the air forces of the world would pay anything for this piece of kit. JediMaster 451 Posted March 22, 2010 No, according to LM the price will be half that. You basically have groups of people with no real qualifications, other than they're civil service and can't be fired for anything short of pedophilia, trying to tell the future. Anyone remember when we didn't look at how much the entire program was going to cost? Look at how many F-16s have been built and how much has been spent on them over the decades...you think if they had been presented that number in 1975 that the F-16 would've made it to production? Nope.
