Wrench Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) EXCELLENT!! yes, it'd be the same for all the squadrons in the Wing. Sort of a 'standard of markings' for USAF in the 50s. Fer Example: 100th TFW has 3 squadron (which is usual), 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Each as it's own color, lets just use the 'standards" (ie: RGB ) 1 = red 2 = green 3 = blue W/C's aircraft would have the 3 stipes, one of each color (now, what I"m NOT sure is the order -- meaning, is top red?) S/C of 1st would have a double red, 2nd, double green, 3rd, double blue I'd read somwhere .. and can't seem to find it, that sometimes the Flight Commanders would have a single stripe of the squadron color ... but I wouldn't worry about that. The 'general population' aircraft would have no stripe, but the regular colors on the nose & tail. I'd run into the very same (non)issue when I was doing up all those F-89 skins; which is where I learned of the color stripe combos. Found decals were the way to go at level=2 (if there were enough meshes to allow them, of course) this bird is looking REAL good! +Soulfreak Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) The layout of the model made me crazy, but finally i got it. here is something different then the silver Streaks: JaboG 31 2nd Wing "Alma" Edited November 5, 2010 by Soulfreak Quote
Wrench Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 I feel for ya, brother! Some of the "new" mapping just dosn't make sense (like the C-47 having the nose right next to the cargodoor near the tail) That's a good looking BLW skin! in the last book I sent ya all, did you notice on the USAF ones, sometimes the squadron color was repeated on the canopy frames? (the middle section that moves). Glad you figured out the mapping! wrench kevin stein Quote

+Soulfreak Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 in the last book I sent ya all, did you notice on the USAF ones, sometimes the squadron color was repeated on the canopy frames? (the middle section that moves). Sure Kevin, but I only did the 4512th CCTS Skin, other USAF units are in Ludos hands. Planned is, that I do all German Skins, the 4512th CCTS one, one Italian skin and maybe some more Nato Skins (Turkey & Holland) Quote

+paulopanz Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 What about Klu 6 BAf lineup? Go on guys, make them ALL! Quote
+Soulfreak Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 BAF is in Sonys hands. i wanted to do a KLU skin, but I have cancled it for now. I will only still do 3 Silver skins. 1 for the AMI, one for HAF & one for TuAF. If I´m still motivated after them maybe I´ll do the KLU one. Quote
+sony tuckson Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 (edited) I can add KLU units to my work, they didn't have specific schemes, so it will only be some more markings, no big deal I think. BAF will be shown with three schemes, natural metal, like about all other users, NATO scheme (common with KLu) and SEA which was not so common (Greece and some USAF ANG untis had it ) Two airbases have been seen flying the F-84F in Belgium, the 2 Tac Wing at Florennes with 1, 2 and 3 squadron, plus Kleine Brogel's 10 FBW with 23, 27 and 31 squadrons. Of all those units, only the 1st and 31st squadrons are still alive, at their respective base, flying F-16 A MLU. some progress Edited November 15, 2010 by sony tuckson 1 Quote
