Wrench Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 this help some, maybe?? http://military-machine.blogspot.com/2009/10/on-target-profiles-3-bae-hawk-in.html Quote
+ianh755 Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) The main differences are the new nose, RHWR on the fin, big Ae's infront of the tail planes and wingtip missiles (there's a few extra little aerials too). I haven't been able to find a drawing but here's some good profile shots and more reference pics - not so good profile drawing And there's a Hawk T1 reference pictures thread with some T2 stuff http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51911 including this close-up of the wingtip missile rail - Here's a pic dump on Google (large pics only) - http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&newwindow=1&safe=off&biw=1536&bih=782&tbs=isz%3Al&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=%22bae+hawk+T2%22&oq=%22bae+hawk+T2%22&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_l=img.3...86275l87378l1l87859l5l5l1l3l0l0l78l78l1l1l0.frgbld. List of some of the T2 aircraft tail numbers and pics of each one - http://www.airport-data.com/search/search2.html?field=model&search=Search&code=BAe+Hawk+T2 I think that should just about cover it Edited April 1, 2012 by ianh755 Quote
+russouk2004 Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Yer I know the airframe is basically the same as the T1 and T2,been on BaE site last night for 2 hours reading up on the upgrade.lol thnx all Quote
+whiteknight06604 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 looks like the Hawk mistook it's Viagra for Nasal spray. ;) looks great so far,I will be looking forward to this. Quote
+ianh755 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Russ - The drawing of the biggest Ae underneath in your WIP nose shot (under the front seat) is different than the one fitted (stock VHF Ae in drawing). It looks good and the T1a is still my current favourite jet so can't wait for both of these! Quote
+russouk2004 Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Ian yes m8 they are old ones just placed as yet,as ive only been working on new nose so far . Quote
Jimbib Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Hey Russ, I've found the same blueprints I think you've been using, the nose seems a little too long in the diagram in comparison to a photo of a Hawk T2, here's an overlay of your pic... Quote
+ghostrider883 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) I agree with Jimbib, the nose does seem a little longer in the drawing. Here's another pic of the nose: Edited April 5, 2012 by ghostrider883 1 Quote
Jimbib Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I think the blueprint which has the extended nose is labelled as the Hawk 102 variant, which was for UAE, which I can only assume has a longer nose cone than the 128 variant. Quote
+russouk2004 Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Indeed u guys are right, blueprint I used was wrong one,I have T2 one in use now, they both look same doh. Ill do the 102 also, now its started Edited April 5, 2012 by russouk2004 Quote
peterbezemer Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 you might want to check the RWR on the tail, on your model its is slimmer and a bit longer than the real one. only minor thing I could find ;-) Quote
+russouk2004 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 yes peter I know, thats just a starter RWR heres the real thing 1 Quote
+russouk2004 Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 updated new wing shape, nose,RWR ,various uhf\etc antennae, modified fuselage etc. ignore the skin as I havent remapped the fuselage yet. 1 Quote
+ianh755 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Russ - Looking good matey, I realise it's still a WIP but just in-case you didn't know there's some stuff on the top thats extra on a T2 - There are 2 new GPS AE's on the top now just behind the canopy (a GPWS one between the two air scoops - a rounded white rectangle - and a standard GPS AE to the right of the top Anti-Collision light - small white circle), some air vents behind the UHF AE and the APU exhaust just infront of the tail. Other than that and new wingtips it's ready to go! 1 Quote
+russouk2004 Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 3d model complete...time consuming skinning now started 1 Quote
+ghostrider883 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Very nice Russo . Looking at those Red Arrows Mk.128s screenies, posting something related to it. The IAF's aerobatic team, which flew the HAL HJT-16 Kiran Mk.II previously, will soon be converting to Hawk Mk.132s. Quote
