Been thinking about making a campaign for this war since Wrench has provided us with nation specific aircraft and an upgraded terrain. The idea of combat between Soviet built equipment appeals to me. I don't have anything done yet, but below is a checklist of stuff to do and a list of aircraft/vehicles to be included. Helicopters may or may not be included.

[ ] Campaign Files

[ ] Russian Mercenary nations for Eritrean and Ethiopian sides

[ ] Add Ethiopian and Eritrean squadrons

Ethiopian Aircraft:

[*] Su-27

[*] MiG-23BN

[*] MiG-21

[ ] An-12

[ ] An-12 bomber modification

[ ] C-130B

[ ] Mi-24/35 (TBD)

[ ] Mi-8 (TBD)

[ ] L-39 (will be included if used in combat)

[ ] Su-25

Eritrean Aircraft:

[*] MiG-29

[ ] MB-339 (do we have one?)

[ ] Mi-17 (TBD)

[ ] Mi-24/35 (TBD)

Vehicles/AAA/SAMs:

T-55

BMP-1

SA-2

SA-3

SA-6

MANPADS

ZSU-23

ZU-23

Artillery

BM-21

Toyota pick-up AAA

Flak guns

Infantry

I think a MB-339 is available, in the Falklands installation. No clue what the licence issue is, but I am sure they are reasonable. However, I think you should add Helicopters. If not as flyable, then as AI. Having copters around add to your Battlefield Experience.

There is also one made by the IDIot(?) team in the downloads section. I decaled a quick Eritrean skin for it a while ago, didn't release it though.

You can also find the Su-25 in the Desert Storm and Operation Darius mods.

For some reason my mind was cloudy about the IDIot team's MB-339 status. Would you mind posting a screenshot of your ErAF MB-339, JJava?

Jonathan, I think I'll include the Hinds are flyable, since they did see some heavy action, or so I've read. How they do in this campaign will likely be the deciding factor on whether to include them in my Iran-Iraq campaign when I get back to working on that in 2014 or so.

Sure thing. It's just the stock Angolan skin with correct-ish sized decals. Looks pretty close to the one in a picture at acig.org.

I suppose I could make a campaign for the Ogaden War as well.

I checked but I think it needs a lot of work : I had to duplicate the map install, recreate routes and boundaries ...

Mainly because of eritrea, which did not exist at this time

That's crossed my mind as well. A new map would probably be required anyway for that campaign due to the limited amount of Somalia in this one.
