Curtiss SB2C-1 Helldiver

 

The Curtiss SB2C Helldiver was a carrier-based dive bomber aircraft produced for the United States Navy during World War II. It replaced the Douglas SBD Dauntless in US Navy service. Despite its size, the SB2C was much faster than the SBD it replaced.

thats VB-17 (Bunker Hill) birds on the Helldivers combat debut, 11/11/43. but is pretty much representative of ALL Helldiver units, just before the G system went into effect in Mid-44. Some use modex in all 3 positions, some only 2 (not counting the gear doors, of course)

That's the part that drives skinners crazy ... what geometric marking when with what Air Group!! (good thing I've got a faily complete guide!)
