Doest someone have some reference materials for soviet IR missile rails for the Fitter?!

As far as i've read...

SU-17 can not carry IR missiles.

Neither Su-17M.

But Su- 20 could carry two R-3S IR missiles (don't know which pylon, could be the outer or the inner wing pylons... my guess?? porbably the inner ones....)

Su-17M2 could carry two R-60 in the inner wing pylons (BD3-57M racks with APU-60-1 launch rail)

Same for the Su-22.

next version:

early Su-17 production mode with slightly different canopy, tail and only 2 fences instead of 4

These are mixed-up a bit.

On the top row, the right one is the S-24 rail, the left one seems a bit like APU-60 rail for R-60 single missile and the 2nd row left one seems like the R-13 rail.

The top left rail is the apuR-3R for radar atoll missiles, the apuR-3C similar but with the top front part angeled down is for the early IR atolls , you are right on the S-24 and the R-13. The single Apu60 is not on the picture.

Was the source included as i handed over the SU-17 max file?

But i think if it was AD, he lost the source. But will ask him anyway...

Ok as we speak I have tested the old date I have, there was an issue I couldnt solve, but now I have an idea I think we can expect those birds later, after the first series of Su-17`s

AD has done a great job, now its time for a SF2 versions with NA features

Su-17M4 and Su-22UM3K

Thanks for the hint, the positions aren`t final, the wings were moved abit and it wasnt changed in the ini files so far. I try to set all stuff symetrical. The newer 17 from m3 upwards will build on florians one. Hes has done some good work on some parts and would like to use his as a base for the further modification.

If you dont mind this will be the new "standart"

The inner wings will be reshaped, main gear area reworked. landung lights repositioned an reanimated to match the real positions. And the wing angle will be rearranged.

Im satisfied with the res of the plane so far, after this work I will add antennas to represent the earlie Su-17 for soviet scenarios.
