You could even do a modern upgraded version with a new radar, ECM and weapons etc maybe even an uprated engine...

Oh god, please don't! We dodged that F-104 bullet once before! Not again... :smile:

Mirage F-1CO+, 2nd Squadron, 1998

The aircraft received a combat value upgrade by receiving both electronics (including radar and internal ECM) and engine from the Mirage 2000 enlarging this way the operational life within the RAAF until the arrival of the F-18.

Excellent work!

One very small detail correction on the markings - the legs on the kangaroo on the wing roundels on RAAF aircraft point towards the fuselage, not towards the wingtips

Thanks for the advice. I only knew that the head of the 'roo has to point in flight direction.

Hi val. is this still wip?

Somehow yes. I have a problem which came up after having changed the engine to the M53. The engine is glowing though no afterburner is activated and I must find a way to fix that. Maybe one of our modding cracks find the solution for me:

Are the following entries in the data.ini correct and use either stock effects or ones that are in your effects folder? Also check the effect in your effects folder is at SF2 standards and the textures it uses are also present in the effects folder.

ExhaustEmitterName=

ExhaustPosition=

AfterburnerNodeName=

AfterburnerEmitterName=

AfterburnerEffectSize=

Hey dtmdragon

Big thanks for your help! The data.ini entries look like this:

ExhaustEmitterName=DirtyExhaustEmitter

ExhaustPosition=0.0,-5.6,-0.035

AfterburnerNodeName=

AfterburnerEmitterName=M53AB

AfterburnerEffectSize=1.0

All of the position entries in the engine section have been left untouched.

You are missing the AfterburnerNodeName for the F-1C .lod

ExhaustEmitterName=DirtyExhaustEmitter
ExhaustPosition=0.0,-5.6,-0.035
AfterburnerNodeName=canal_ab <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
AfterburnerEmitterName=M53AB
AfterburnerEffectSize=1.0

However you should still have had the afterburner effect showing up even without the AfterburnerNodeName correct. All that should have done is made the 'glow' be visible all the time and not just when the engine was in afterburner.

So replace the M35 effects in your EFFECTS folder with these ones. As you can see it worked fine for me.

I managed to fix the prob with the glowing engine on 0%-throttle setting:

index.php?app=gallery&module=images&sect

Also, the engine works now as a charm:

index.php?app=gallery&module=images&sect

Prepping the pack for upload now.
