Snailman Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 It happened to me once, a few years ago. The opposite house got hit into the chimney, when I went out to balcony to have some fresh air (and rain). The shit has frozen in me, heh This isn't bad either. it was in the links at the end of the previous videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8SM6Ynu558
+Typhoid Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 twice. Once on the E-4B climbing out of somewhere chasing AF-1 and - !!!!! EMP hardened isn't quite the same as lightning hardened.........! and once sitting down to lunch and the fence, about 15' away, got vaporized. oh yea...get's your attention!! 1
Skyviper Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 Member being in school and a nice big bolt struck just outside the door. Sounded like a bomb went off. Good thing the hall was crowded to so I could blame that hanging fart on somone else. 2
Lexx_Luthor Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Scariest thing I seen recently was driving home from work and far away was a good thunderhead, about 15 miles away, and a bolt came out the side, and bent to the ground about a diameter of the storm cloud....maybe 4 miles. Just guessing the distances, but a good lesson a bolt can strike you even if you are not beneath a storm and in clear sky. Made me think a bit about "racing" a storm, getting things done before it...gets too bad.
+JediMaster Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I was in an AMC Gremlin when lightning hit the antenna. Fried the radio and blew out the rear tire when it grounded. Shredded it, actually. While driving on an overpass. That was scary.
