Anyone tried that out? US Army AH-64Ds that were in Afghanistan didn't carry their Longbow radar and I'd like to replicate that.

<cough> Mue's lod viewer tool <cough>

and 'remove component statements ' in the data ini

Component[0**]=Hide1

[Hide1]
ParentComponentName=
ModelNodeName=
DestroyedNodeName=
ShowFromCockpit=FALSE
HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE

just fill in the blanks

very interestering. 'hand loaded radar!!'

if that version has NO radar at all, one will also still need to delete the pointers for the avinoncs ini and avionics dll in the main ini

Hi Everybody,

maybe I am slightly off-topic, anyway I hope someone will give some suggestion.

I have followed the instructions on this ComponentHide method and I have seen that it works beautyfully for my little mod of aRazbam A-1E Skyraider that I converted into an AD-5W by removing all USAF specific antennas and wing pylons and cannons (and by adding a radome modeled by myself in 3DS MAX9).

I have also read in previous posts by The Trooper and FastCargo in 2008 that this method should work generally for any model, but......

when I try to hide parts of a carrier by Hinchinbrooke (the CV-16 that was included in the YAP Flying School) to convert her to the CVS-12 Hornet, by removing the CatEnds and the FrtDeckFence (the names come from the LODViewer by mue) I have no luck.

Has anyone tried this method on ships and GroundObjects?

Thanks
