Northrop Grumman win new Bomber contract (LRSB)

Earlier this evening at a Pentagon press conference, the United States Air Force announced the result of the long-awaited Long Range Strike-Bomber (LRS-B) competition. The Air Force has awarded the LRS-B contract to Northrop Grumman, manufacturer of the Air Force Global Strike Command‘s B-2 Spirit bomber. The service is expected to procure 100 airframes with a tentative target for IOC in the mid-2020s.

of course when the last B-3 (or whatever it will be designated) goes to the Boneyard,  the crew will fly home on a BUFF :biggrin:

good to hear the big three will be around though.  i dont think the next gen trainer would have been enough to sustain Northrup Grumman.

Ironically, had they made the extra 100 B-2s it would've cost less than starting a whole new program today.

Elected officials need to know that there are " "consulting" jobs ready for them after they leave office.

      Installation:
      -------------------------------------------------------------
      1) Copy the contents of the "To_Mod_Folder" folder into your mod folder and over-write if required.
      2) Update your "...\Flight\SOUNDLIST.INI" with the contents of the "Add F111 SoundList.txt". Please don't forget to maintain the number sequence in the sound list.
      3) Check, ensure (or update) all the squadrons in this pack is in your "SQUADRONLIST.INI" file. Once you look at that file, you will know what to do. 
      * Please note that some squadrons may have multiple CO planes, this is not a mistake. Rather than just picking one CO, I am respresenting all the COs for that squardon during the period. So both COs could pop up in given scenario. I rather have them than cut them so...it's only a game...
      * Tweaked and Tested by the ODS30 team!

      * Additional Data and Weapons improvements - Yakarov79.
