Hello!  I am trying to figure out the soundlist ini and sounds in the game generally.  Ive noticed I have a flaresout.wav in my sound file ive tried adding the sound to the soundlist ini but doesn't seem to work.  Im also having trouble adding windloop/radio loop sounds to a strike eagle's sound section when it wasn't there before, anyone have any advice? I couldn't find an answer in the knowledge base.  I figured adding some wind/radio to the F-15E would be pretty cool and a flaresout sound would be awesome!

Only events that are listed in the associated .dll file will work (and even then, some events have been nothing more than placeholders since the inception of the series.  Bomb release and the missile in flight sounds are two of the latter) .  One cannot just "invent" sound events and expect them to work.

Also, you do not have to add engine, windsound, gear, air brakes, afterburner, or tiretouch sounds to the soundlist.  Just call them out from the model's data.ini

Alright thanks for the info, the F-15E by fastcargo doesn't originally come with a windsound in the data ini and ive added it but the sound doesnt happen in game.  Any reason for this?

Either the sound file that you're using doesn't meet the game's requirements (it must be monaural),  or the naming convention.that you're using is wrong.  It should be "windsoundname="
