Hi oh wise and wonderful modders,I am converting a Mirage 2000 as a follow up agressor to the Mirage F1.I don't seem to be able to delete the fuselage and inner wing pylons despite removing them from the dat and loadout inis.Can anyone advise how I can delete them ??? (The mod would be for my own use initially but would be happy to share withal once relevant permissions obtained.5b7c96f280820_M2KA.thumb.jpg.aacdfe43dda4e291c542a2c02009d0ce.jpg

Try this, in the aircraft _data.ini look for the aircraft data section...
[AircraftData]

and add the following at the end...

Component[0xx]=Move1                        <-------------------- xx is the number sequence

[Move1]
ParentComponentName=fuselage
ModelNodeName=                                <--------------- mesh name here
DestroyedNodeName=                        <---------------- mesh name here
DetachWhenDestroyed=TRUE
HasAeroCoefficients=FALSE

Actually your problem is coming from the fact that you removed them from the data.ini.

Put back all meshname, station, etc. information (or simply revert to the original data.ini). and if you not want anything on them to show up you can simply remove all entries after the AllowedWeaponClass=

If that section is empty, nothing will be loaded and the game will hide the pylons by itself. But in order to do that it needs to have all the relevant names like "ModelNodeName=RightTankStation" accessible otherwise ill have no idea what to do with those (how to handle) and will display them always.

Similarly in the loadout.ini leave empty the information after as such Loadout[01].WeaponType=

Entries like move and such are not necessary.

both answers are correct (aircraft depending). because it's an ini edit (and presumably skin), you do not need permission to upload if the mod is from a member of the freeware use agreement   or if the mod states it is free to use (so long as you dont add it in payware). just be sure to give the credit to the original modder, and for the most part its good form to leave out the LOD file, and include a link for the person downloading to go get the original aircraft if they dont have it.

before anyone gets technical about the Mirage 2000, i'm stating that for all mods (future reference kinda thing)

the link to the freeware agreement

EDIT ; execpt TMF mods. had a brain fart on them being blanket authorized.

Yes, like the other have said, it's a LOADOUT edit. You don't need to touch nothing in the data ini's hardpoint sections.

two semi related questions

1. for future reference who is the one to ask  about TMF mods? (suspect it will be you Wrench, but trying to get an official answer for reference)

2. whens the last time the Freeware Agreement was updated? and is it time to Make a new one with the currently active folks signing on? the one i posted above is a decade old, with last update 6 years ago.

I see to remember updating it a few months ago (editing the names list). Maybe I should have left on the "show this thread has been edited" tag

I think myself and Crusader are the only two original (as in since its formation) active members of the mirage factory still going. I was member no5. I still have Oli's original listing of the members somewhere, there were less than a dozen of us when we first set it up and Crab_02 and C5 were the only non European members of the team.We all had our own "specialist" departments for who did what and worked on what.......ah the good old days.

Don't know why but nothing works when following the guidance for the single seater , the 2000B works fine though  .Would it be related to the model itself ?

Both solution woks fine on my single seat 2000C model. You applied the changes to the original file or to the already edited one? If the later then something is missing. (systemname(xxx)=, etc)
