Wrench Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 just discovered an aircraft that is missing 2 100 gallon (internal) wing tanks. Going to add them but can't remember what the unit of measure is for their capacity Kg? Lbs?? liters?? somebody remind me!!??!!?? TIA! Quote
EsPeKTr0 Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I think it depends on how you put the reading mode or in km or miles directly the game transposes it to the European or English measure. 1 Quote
+Gepard Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 (edited) In the plane_data.ini the data are always metric and in kilogram. For recalculation use this values: 1 litre AvGas=0.72 kg 1 litre JP-4 jet fuel = 0.82 kg Edited June 18, 2019 by Gepard 2 1 Quote

What's more, all the .ini files don't change according to your game's settings except the "options" file, obviously. Edited June 18, 2019 by kblomkvist Quote

Wrench Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 good, now that we've got the volume/weight figured out, the next question is feeds... this is how I have the tanks now: Quote [FuselageFuelCell1] SystemType=FUEL_TANK FuelTankID=1 MaxFuelAmount=1250.0 SelfHealing=TRUE FireSuppression=TRUE MinExtentPosition=-0.5,1.0,-0.5 MaxExtentPosition=0.5,3.0,0.10 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEEL Armor[FRONT].Thickness=6 Armor[REAR].Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor[TOP].Thickness=6 Armor[BOTTOM].Thickness=6 [FuselageFuelCell2] SystemType=FUEL_TANK FuelTankID=1 MaxFuelAmount=588.59 SelfHealing=TRUE FireSuppression=TRUE MinExtentPosition=-0.35,-0.65,-0.5 MaxExtentPosition=0.35,0.50,0.5 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEEL Armor[FRONT].Thickness=6 Armor[REAR].Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor[TOP].Thickness=6 Armor[BOTTOM].Thickness=6 [LeftWingFuelCell] SystemType=FUEL_TANK FuelTankID=2 MaxFuelAmount=440.48 SelfHealing=TRUE FireSuppression=TRUE MinExtentPosition=-0.90,1.50,-0.30 MaxExtentPosition=-0.50,3.20,-0.40 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEELArmor[FRONT].Thickness=6 Armor[REAR].Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor[TOP].Thickness=6 Armor[BOTTOM].Thickness=6 [RightWingFuelCell] SystemType=FUEL_TANK FuelTankID=2 MaxFuelAmount=440.48 SelfHealing=TRUE FireSuppression=TRUE MinExtentPosition=0.90,1.50,-0.30 MaxExtentPosition=0.50,3.20,-0.40 HasArmor=TRUE ArmorMaterial=STEELArmor [FRONT].Thickness=6 Armor[REAR].Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor .Thickness=6 Armor[TOP].Thickness=6 Armor[BOTTOM].Thickness=6 Quote
Wrench Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 formatting go all fucked up on that!!! or should the smaller wing tanks be group 1, to feed from them first, and the fuselage tanks 2nd?? Quote
+guuruu Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Depends on datas you have. If you know order of using tanks do it realistic. If you don't know I'm using tank the closest to CG as last. First fuselage tanks that are far from CG, then wings. Quote
EsPeKTr0 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I believed that the simulator itself when changing the measurements changed everything from heights of meters to feet to gallons and gallons. Now I see that it is not like that. Quote

Internal tanks are used from highest to lowest ID .. tanks which are used simultaneously (like wing tanks) should have the same ID Quote

Wrench Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 really? that seems odd! but, hey if that's how it works... esperto: every measurement in the game has ALWAYS been metric; Quote
