  3. heh - hacked is probably the wrong word, probably more correct is that an exploit that allowed someone to use our domain in ways it was never intended caused us to have to put in some extra hours. The exploit allowed injections to our shell allowing the upload of unwanted content to our site. This content was then used to phish for banking information and spam flood the internet. All of our subscribers content and details were not at risk at any time, but the seriousness of the phishing content forced our hosting provider to revoke our agreements in breech leaving us to find another provider, move the content, fix the exploit, and while we were at it upgrade our applications. Not an easy task when you're un-prepared for the move, but we've managed the job well. Our downtime last week was a direct result just how seriously we take what we do here. From all of us at CombatACE; Enjoy your new digs. Erik
  4. Yup ... and actually the old file announcements will never work again as we've upgraded to a more powerful download library system capable of handling our needs now and in the future. Sometimes progress is painful ... trust me I have first hand experience. LOL

  8. Just thought I'd share that as of yesterday we've served over a half a million files to the sim community. I'd like to thank all the great mod'ers and supporters of this site. Each of them truely understand why it's here and what service they provide to our community. Thank You! I hope you each have the opportunity to say thanks to these great few while you're enjoying the great mod's and community they provide. Until the next update. Erik
  9. I can duplicate the problem but only using IE6 with the latest updates from Microsoft. IE6 without the update works fine. All other browsers work fine. The new IE7 beta works fine. So it has something to do with the security patch in IE6. I'll dig into it and see what I can find. Thanks for all the help it's been great. For now those using IE6 delete our site cookie and just remain logged out of the front page. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks; Erik
  10. Hi; Just a thought. Can you go into your browser settings; Above on the menu bar: Tools > Internet Options > Security Tab > Click the Internet Globe > Then choose reset to default or lower the setting for a test. Then browse to the site and let me know if that works. If you run software like Norton's Antivirus or Norton's Security Suite you may have to adjust the security policy there as well. Thanks for the help we'll find the solution one way or another. Take care; Erik
  11. Make sure you delete "all" the cookies from combatace.com. There should be two one is the login and the other is the session ID. Once you've done that it should work fine for you. Let me know. I've tested this in as many browsers as I can think of, and it's working fine here. I'm hoping to find the "answer" which cures everyone's problems so take some notes of what you do it will be invaluable help. Thanks; Erik
  12. An update after the site move: A browser problem has come up after we moved the site that has to do with cookies that we set in your browser. These cookies are part of normal day to day browser activity and they do things like remember your username / password and whether you wish to remain logged in on subsequent returns to our site. This cookie once resident on your machine stays active and will not expire. The below information will help you resolve this issue. SYMPTOM: Our main site (http://www.combatace.com) will not open or gives page display, can't be displayed errors. CAUSE: This is being caused by a resident cookie we set when the "remember me" box was ticked. FIX: - Close all browser windows. - Delete stored cookies from our domain. These cookies are stored in your browser cache directory. You can search for any cookie that has combatace.com in it and delete it. - Clear your browser cache (stored pages). - Re-open a new browser window to the site. *Note - If you have multiple browsers you'll need to remove the cookies stored for each browser you use. (They are stored in different places) Should you have any other concerns or need more indepth help please feel free to reply to this message. Take care; Erik Thompson CombatACE
  13. I don't think anything happened to it. I can see it just fine. What exactly is the problem? Erik

  15. Hi; Here are some of the top responses I send to fix problems. 1. Make sure your browser settings allow for cookies from our domain combatace.com. If your security is set too high the site can't pass the information to your browser correctly. Try lowering them or setting them to a default setting. 2. Make sure your browser allows pop-ups from our site. All downloads are passed through a pop-up window to minimize full windows we open. If you use a pop-up blocker OEM or otherwise, disable it, or configure it to allow pop-ups from our site. We do not send advertisements or any other junk in pop-ups, it's safe to allow them here. 3. Is your account validated? Once you sign up for a username and password to access the forums and downloads we will send you an email to validate your account. If you don't receive this email because of security or spam settings on your email account then you will not be allowed to member only features such as downloads. Before joining please make sure you've allowed email from our domain at combatace.com. 4. Firewall / Antivirus software needs to be configured or set to allow for downloads and pop-ups. For obvious reasons we can't support each specific vendor's software and have to rely on the enduser (you) to make sure these types of security software are configured for our site. The good folks here work hard to keep our site safe and user friendly. While we can't guarantee that the internet is safe for everyone, we at least want you to know that your time here is and will remain a browser safe environment. Not all of these may apply to you specifically, but they are the top responses I send to existing and new members. I hope this helps and as Fates mentioned if you have more details we'd be happy to dig deeper into finding a resolve. Regards; Erik
  16. Hi; I took a look at the email issue and confirmed it was working. I also filed a trouble ticket with invision power boards to confirm there were no problems. I'm receiving email from the site, if you're not you may want to whitelist our domain "combatace.com" so that spam or junk mail filters don't delete it before you see it. Let me know if you find anything. Erik
  17. I'll take a look. Thanks for the report. Erik
  18. Nice! Love the flight deck. Erik
  19. Hi; Sorry for the trouble. We had a corrupt table in the database that has been repaired. All services have been returned to full operational status. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Regards; Erik

This is a Sea Fury add-on for "Strike Fighters: Project 1" and "Wings Over Vietnam". The models included represent an FB.11 as used by the navies of the UK, Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands and the denavilised export version, Mk.50, which was externally identical to the FB.11, with the exception of the removal of the tailhook, and was used by Egypt, Cuba, Iraq, Pakistan, and Burma. Included are Gramps's skins for a British FB.11 on HMS Glory and an Australian FB.11 on HMAS Sydney and my skins for a Canadian FB.11 from HMCS Magnificent and an Egyptian and Cuban Mk.50. Thanks to Gramps for his skins and support, Charles for the flight model and cockpit, Wrench for the hanger screen, and Anthony for three-views.
