  1. there might be but its probably burried deep in the code... There was a lot of clammoring for a hotfix for this when it was released and after 1.01 as well. It would be nice IMO if a "multiplier" sider was available in the options ingame in all games using trackIR
  2. thanks B) GhostDog? Panick-thing when i had to get a callsign when i joined my first squad. I will try to come up with a good and interesting lie if i'm ever asked again ;)
  3. i just noticed that a new readme is up at the UBI forums... click here
  4. Probably that is it then... look forward to upgrading to XP its well worth it ... and yes. Completely off topic but Ian M Banks is one of my favourite writers. YOu username here sounds like something he would use for a spaceship name
  5. looks like its having problems converting the word document. hmm... your wordpad might not be able to cope with newer word docs with pictures and stuff... i dont know if its updatable I can sen just the txt parts without pictures and tables but i would reinstall word if you cant update. PS: Are you a fan of Iian M. Banks by any chance?
  6. wordpad should be able to open them
  7. ... also most is available here... but no fancy pictures
  8. hmm i can mail it to you.. stand by. If you PM me your email you can have it
  9. yes you are missing something... The gun and weapons release buttons have been split in ver 1.02 - as in the RL aircraft. The weapons released is now defaulted to joystick button 2 while the gun is active in all A2G or A2A modes. The combined trigger was a left-over fron the way at least some of russian planes operate. Some US naval planes and many helicopters have a single trigger as well (or so i have been told) but the A10 uses 2 release buttons - confusing at first but great when you learn it Read the readme ;)
  10. Undocumentet feature: If you have damage but manage to RTB and land you can have your plane repaired. Dirve to the parking area, turn off the engines and wait 3 minuttes. Then you plane is repaired. It might not be ultra realistic but i think its a fine compromise. Also if you a a stickler for getteing a good score with the new online scoring system then you are rewarded for not wasting a plane
  11. I will try to compile a list of the best confirmed tweaks that require editing of the LUA or CFG files etc.. If you got any good tips please respond to this thread and if your tip is good it will be added to the list. ALLWAYS BACK UP IMPORTANT FILES BEFORE EDITING THEM! Editing the view constraints: This tweak makes it possible to look all the way back over your shoulders without "bumping" into the headrest etc. Greatly improves SA. REcommend for trackIr users and pratically does away with the need for the new F4 view. Open the \config\view\cockpit.lua file in wordpad or any other simple editor. HAngleMAX is horizontal angle of freedom. VAngleMin is downward angle of freedom. VAngleMax is upward angle of freedom. Recommended Values: A-10: HAngleMaxDefault = 180.0 VAngleMinDefault = -72.5 VAngleMaxDefault = 115.0 Extended 50 degree horizontally and 7 degree downward. There is a big headrest prevent you from seeing engines and tail fins. But you can see 6 o'clock high clearly now. And you can check chaff and flare counters on the right console much easier. MiG-29,Su-27 and Su-33: HAngleMaxDefault = 145.0 VAngleMinDefault = -65.5 VAngleMaxDefault = 115.0 Extended 15 degree horizontally. You can see your 5 and 7 o'clock better. Su-25: HAngleMaxSu25 = 139.0 VAngleMinSu25 = -69.0 VAngleMaxSu25 = 115.0 Extended 44 degree horizontally and 4 degree downward. Not much improvement in situation awareness because of the ristrected view by window frames. F-15: HAngleMaxF15 = 180.0 VAngleMinF15 = -65.5 VAngleMaxF15 = 115.0 Extended 45 degree horizontally. Great improvement in situation awareness. You can see your 6 o'clock very clearly. Take off and look back! You see the runway you just departed from. Thanks to TekaTeka from Japan
  12. no way around that i'm afraid.. otherwise there wouldnt have been such a fuss over it when they first released it and trackIr was in hyperspeed. They did speed it down in 1.02 though
  13. A narrow escape for the Netherlands yesterday - eh Dutchy?
  14. Anything wrong with your trackIr then?
  15. btw... i will of course post on the Ubi boards.
  16. Great news. Of course you can get it hosted here. ;) once again i will just move your thread to the correct forum
  17. I'm on TS with a couple of guys testing it now... will be there for some time yet if you want to fly :D
  18. I think its great that MP seems to be much more smooth now. No startup lag and the RWR and WP rockets both work now. I did manage to hit a shilka wiTH a 500lb'er from 7000+ feet in level flight with the new bombing mode so thats not bad either
  19. ...and that would be what in GMT? 02:00?
  20. only problem i have found so far is that the selectable resolutions for one monitor are very limited when i run my dual monitor setup in "horizontal spread" mode (which i prefer) - when in "dual view" all is good i just cant change my desktop all the time. Plenty of dual/triple monitor resolutions selectable though... i just cant play with a the edges of the screens right down the center of the HUD. I tried editing the config file without luck Other than that all looks superb
  21. 1) The news IS on the frontpage of Biohaz 2) There is probably a lot of people downloading at the same time 3) 3D Gamers was listed as a mirror on the official Lo:Mac page - you're right: its not there - at leat not yet. 4) I'm not not sure how your last question is meant
  22. You have all read the good news on out frontpage of course. Patch 1.02 for Lo:Mac is here! This is the place to discuss it. If you for some reason havent downloaded it yet you can get it here Direct link to 1.00 > 1.02 here - 38 MB (recommended) Direct link to 1.01>1.02 here - 34 MB Mirror on 3D Gamers here I recommend uninstalling the game and do fresh install - then patch from 1.0 to 1.02 Did your pet problem go away? Any nice surprises?... Let us know what you think.
  23. you have my sympathies... but you should really teach your goalie not to go out feet first... he has done it before with about the same degree of succes ;)
