  1. I finally uploaded my little tiny mods... http://combatace.com/files/file/12160-mods-elephant/ Here is the Read me file: This RAR contains my little-tiny Mods: REWORKED TRACER TEXTURES: with increased luminosity but reduced in size by 60% from OFF originals. (Compatible with Creaghorn's tracer mod). SPANDAU SOUND: original spandau sound by Winston, including adjusted external sound by me). Also included, bullet impact sounds by Creaghorn. START UP SOUND FOR GERMANY: "Contact-Clear" sound replaced by a German equivalent taken from a real Start up sequence of Mikael Carlson's Fokker VII. The mods are ready to use via JSGME. Just drop them into your MODS folder and enable. Otherwise, follow the the folder structure of each mod to manually install them. (Back up the original files first, just in case)... 4. Very nice! Also very nice and plausible scheme, for the era on that D.II.
  5. Thanks for the answer Winder! As a matter of fact I'm not missing real 3d trees, may be a little variation in color or some height difference variation to the current ones will well do the job. Also I think that that dark "forest" texture, where trees are posted on in P3, really helps to blend them better to the surrounding environment... I know that everything is still WiP and IMO the P3 terrain-environment, is the most immersive I've ever seen in a flight sim, (almost haunting in a cloudy day over no man's land), but WiPs are open to discussion and meant to be discussed, isn't it? Anyway, I think you are doing an outstanding job with P4 so far, thanks!
  6. I do the same...only I don't have a name for it...
  7. Please guys don't flame me, but I'm a bit concerned about the terrain changes... I think that in P3 the trees are more well blended to the surrounding environment...or it's my imagination? Also I like the new cloud variations, (I hope the changes will be cumulative to what we have now and there won't be a compromise so to drop something out), but in the second and third pics their 2D nature is showing too much! May be everything is so higher in quality and these minor details just popup, to my eyes at least...
  8. I don't think the Albatros or any other agile WWI plane would stand a chance against a cannon armed fast WWII plane. One cannon hit with deflection and bye-bye Albatros...
  9. He's the best! I have bought his book on the Zero, (CG profilling and cut outs), in Japanese! for the bonus DVD with those two clips I've posted...
  10. Mike, Winder said that unfortunately, the FM-aces problem is too tricky to address right now in P3, but will be surely be taken care of, in P4. More info, including Winder's original answers on the matter, in this thread: http://combatace.com/topic/66351-jasta-37-campaign/page__p__510023#entry510023 I believe though, that you only loose aces in your Sqn. as I have encountered enemy aces in personal schemes... I don't know about aces from other friendly Squadrons.
  11. Sometimes, I can't cope with my own AI squadmates climbing, not to mention the enemy AI... Why are you talking about the use or not of auto mixture? Albatros had and has in game as well, auto mixture by default...
  12. I didn't know there was such a directive, for Easy AI range to be used with this mods... I've, always, been using Normal...
  13. Tetsuzo Iwamoto in the Coral Sea Battle, by Tochy: (subtitled)
  14. Japanese Aviation animator Tochy, has produced the best CG aviation films I've ever seen! Here is the famous Sakai - Sutherland incident, that was also precented in the History Channel's Dogfights. this time from a Japanese perspective. IMO, Tochy's version is way beter... Notice how the Japanese pilots communicate without radios, (removed to save weight),
  15. R.I.P. Major Jeffrey 'Kooksy' Alberts....
  16. Skua was a Fleet Air Arm dive bomber, the equivalent to the German Stuka , only carrier based...
  17. The same here in Greece...35-40 C
  18. You can see them but the view is linked always to you and you can't actually rotate the view around them... Quite primitive IMO, as well as the unconfigurable wide lens external view effect ! Don't bother to answer on that, I know it's a CFS3 related matter and nothing to do with OFF, actually... :no2:
  19. OK, you were talking about control cables only... I thought that you were talking about the wing cables and was suggesting that a damaged wing would collapse under the combined tension of the cables and the G forces while manoeuvring. But since they are not modelled it's just a misunderstanding by my side...
