  1. It's something like Flieger-Album for France...GREAT! Thanks Olham! Anything similar for RFC-RNAS?
  2. Aerodrme search for the above serial: http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/aircraft/50568-albatros-5695-a.html From that thread: "this Albatross landed out of fuel near Bras March 5, 1918. its serial number was 5695. The pilot, named Lotthman belonged to Jasta 65. Transported to the airfield of Spa 23, he received the French cockade. May be your photo show it before the cockade were painted According to "Jasta Pilots" by Norman Franks, Gefreiter LOTHMANN was captured March 5, 1918 while attacking a balloon flying this Albatross. He was assigned to Jasta 65 from February 22, 1918,based in Stenay at the time." PS: It seems, from the serial, like it was a standard Johannisthal built D.Va and not OAW one, Dej... OAW D.Va -> D.6400-6999/17, ordered Sep/Oct '17.
  3. We are getting closer, now I have the serial No...D.5695/17 I searched in my most probable books, to find a pic of the plane with some info, when I remembered I have seen it in Wingnut Wings site... PS: Notice that the rod is already installed in the above post's pic, (French markings), on the starboard V strut and a smaller tube also on the port one...(some kind of measuring device, kind of pitot tube, for testing purposes?)
  4. I found another pic of the plane in French hands, from Squadron Signal In Action 46. I remember seeing the plane in one of my books but I have to dig out more for further details...
  5. Good luck, old chap!
  6. Have a good vacation...
  7. Another one I fished over at "The Aerodrome": apparently staged... This picture was published in the past as "an Italian fighter pursuing an Austian plane". Actually, the Br. C.I 61.57 was the first victory of Francesco Baracca. He forced to land this airplane on April, 7th, 1916. In the picture Baracca flew it with his fellow-citizen Aurelio Baruzzi in the back seat. The Nieuport was flown by Prince Ruffo di Calabria and the picture was taken by Luigi Olivari. Would be the Siemens-Schuckert case be something similar?
  8. Is this the picture you're referring to 33LIMA?
  9. It's an interesting addition to flamers in particular, though... They are now linked to an invisible parachute and keep acting like normal parachuters. I remember there was a seperate animation for failing parachutes in CFS series, (the jumper was moving his legs and hands and a special cry would follow the doomed downfall)! Could this animation be linked to jumpers in P4? Moreover could proper bail out be implemented for the German side, from spring '18 and on? (with a high percentage of failing as well)...
  10. I do fly the same way, with fuel management, only in attempt to level somehow the disadvantage to the AI, even I think it's not so historical...
  11. Spads were flown by RFC as well...
  12. Rather unbearable movie to watch...indeed!
  13. Oh, some great ideas there! I would like to see every single one realised, but above all Creaghorn's idea sounds the most interesting...
  14. Bottom line - NEVER RELY ON PROFILES!
  15. About the Spitfire, the white bands on the wings are a SEAC (South Easterrn Air Command) characteristic...
  16. I was impressed when Olham, identified the location of the town at that WWI german newsreel, from the Cathedral, but now he transpassed himself with those garden gates!
  17. Panama Red's solution works like a dream! I followed the steps, I flew 5 Lone Wolf missions in a row and in the 6th mission the aces skins were there! You only have to do it once... I haven't tested if it works in all the Campaigns though or you have to do it for every Campaign separately. Even so, not a big problem, at all! Your suggestion won't work Olham, as I had my Jasta 37 aces skins enabled via JSGME, when I first noticed the problem and they didn't work.
  18. Congatulations Widowmaker!
  19. Oh, I didn't know, I was fooled by the accent... I guess I have to find another recording... Thanks for the correction Creaghorn!
  20. I think it counts, only if you put the last bullet in... Usually the AI or flak is finally taking the flamer down and thus you are loosing credit...
  21. Are you using HPW new DM mod? I have too noticed the return of the everlasting fires lately... Flamed planes that wonder around, like for ever! HPW is working to fix this. You may consider those planes written off, but unfortunately, the sim doesn't nor the AI. I had to re enable subtitles, to get a written message wheather I am or not taking credit on such kills. Here is an example from my last Campaign: Fuel tank is exploding, (fuel tank in Albatros is located just in front of pilot), this should normally trigger an instant pilot kill! Instead, the plane kept flying and manoeuvring, in flames. A second pass was needed to rip of it's wings and thus sent it down...
  22. Kind of PITA...if we have to do it for every mission, huh? Thanks, Panama Red!
