Interesting question! The SF series games are full of mysterious paradoxes. For example, gunners can't shoot at ground targets at all, even if you land a helicopter or plane right next to an enemy convoy. Although in the ini settings, the targetable options are listed as air and ground. On the other hand, tanks can fight each other and other ground vehicles just fine. As for ships, God knows. Mainly, the ships were added to the game as targets for pilots, of course... If you think about aircraft carriers, then also as a floating airfield. -
I read the book a long time ago, but if my memory serves me correctly, a Fokker D.7 biplane appeared in it. And Bruno Stachel survived the war; he didn’t die in a crash. But the filmmakers decided to make the ending as dramatic as possible. The plane in which Stachel crashed wasn’t named specifically, other than the fact that it was a monoplane. So, most likely, it would have been a Fokker D.8. But it could just as easily have been a Condor E.3/D.1, which looks more like the MS used in the film.

Я с вами согласен, HvitiVikingurrin! Итак, я посмотрел модели в LOD-просмотрщике и заметил, что у них отсутствуют анимации. Конечно, это не недостаток, так как вы можете этого не заметить во время боя. Но, как это принято, модераторы FE добавляют анимации для колёс (отдельно для левого и правого) и задней подвески. This might not improve the models, but it would add to their completeness.

Thank you for your time and effort. If by "comments" you mean how these models could be improved, I think animated guns would be very useful in the Fokker's cockpit. And (perhaps) slotted machine gun covers, not just the tubes with painted slots, as they are. As for the planes themselves, I'll need to crank up the graphics to the max and take another look. It's possible that someone is already making photorealistic textures for them.

Sorry, comrades, for the stupid question. I downloaded Phase Two, but haven't installed it yet. I need to save space on my hard drive. If I understand correctly, it's the same as Phase One (2025), but with additional missions and extensions. Does this mean I can now safely delete Phase One (the game and archive) from my HD? -
