  1. If you go to SF1 downloads, addon aircraft, there is another F-104A/C pack by Dave. Right at the end on page 3, from memory. This may contain what you seek. James
  2. ikon71 I found a answer at a site called Jet Z , or something like that, using their F-104 data. Gives you an extra wingtip station so you can use stock or custom tanks and they all line up. See Marcfighters tigre with custom tanks painted be me James Fox.
  3. I read somewhere that Vulcans towards the end of their service life often flew low, lower that 500 feet, that must have been quite a sight to see. I have seen clips of B-52's frying chickens, as one quote put it, but never a Vulcan that low. Ejections seats at the time may have been of little value, that's if they had them and the time to eject.
  4. Mr Spinner, your poor pilot has no ejection seat, maybe no seat at all. Maybe sitting on an empyt beer crate, or a full one or something?
  5. Mako69 I remember reading years back that the RNZAF where very keen to buy about thirty units of the F-20, but the there were no orders and only five models where producted. I also beleive I read here that some was building an F-20 model, but so far nothing. So at the time I made RNZAF skin for MF'S F-5E as a stop gap. Never uploaded the skin, I did not think there would much interest, plus one has the get permission from MF to do so.

  7. Looking for a special Father's Day present? Well maybe you could get Dad his very own Cold-War era jet fighter. A Russian MiG-21 - code named "Fishbed" by NATO - will be up for grabs in an online auction starting tonight. The 37-year-old fighter jet, previously used by the Polish Air Force is one of only two of its type in New Zealand. Former owner David Henderson has been placed in receivership and is putting it up for sale on Trade Me. The starting bid will be $10,000.
  8. Wow, memories of Wing Commander and Privateer coming flooding back, not to mention FreeSpace series.
  9. Thank you, works in SF2 as well. I'm still running XP with Merged and Expansion with May2010 B patch. Just had to lift the Cockpit and guns a little in SF2. Thank You again

  11. I had same problem. I just added 50cal.wav file to sound folder, found 50cal.wav missing from all my merged sound folders too. Have not removed SF1 series and that is where I found sound file and now 50cals have sound in SF 2.
  12. I have found no real problems running new expansion. Found I too could not hear 50 cals, found no 50cal sound file in sound folder so I just added one and now I have the nosie you want to hear even with motor at full power. I have not noticed any other missing sound yet, if I do I check out the Sound folder first, sometimes they are not there. James
  13. Found it, but this is work and I guess I should be working. James
  14. Starts here in two weeks. They are re-running Band of Brothers First, only more to go then it starts. Nice to see we are not too far behind the USA. James
  15. I beleive "Zur-TECH.com" is working on one. I just popped over there to check, but site still down for upgrading or something. James Fox.
  16. It's hot, very hot. Poor Air/con is having a very hard time. We are not green anymore, more of a light brown now. James Fox
  17. Yes this happened after Nov 2009 upgrade. I think all XP users have this problem, plus there many others too. There are previous posts about this and others. F-15 E ones have been fixed though. I think it might be able to be fixed using a hex-editor which I do not have or know how to use. James Fox
  18. View File F-15E Strike Fighter Euro Skin This is my Euro skin made for the F-15E_90. SF2 Series. I made the skin some time back and I have now updated it to fit on the new SF2 series F-15E_90 Model. I have named the file to a new name so it will not over write the exiting Proto Skin. This skin is based on my Hasagawa 1/48 model painting guide. This skin is not weathered but in a straight out of the paint hangar finish. To install just copy and paste the “PROTO A” folder in the “F-15E_90” folder and the DECALS FOLDER to the Decals folder and that's it. It you do not like it just delete the “PROTO A" folder and that’s it. Special Thanks to: Original Model by Flying Toaster Additional Model Work by FastCargo Flight Model by Fubar512 Avionics by Moonjumper and JAT Effects by Deuces Skins by Sundowner F-15E Cockpit by Mago Drop tanks by FastCargo. Loading & Hangar Screens by Kout Plus to Thirdwire for great games. Feel free to mod this skin, but must remain freeware please. James Fox. Submitter James Fox Submitted 01/18/2010 Category F-15
  19. View File RAN and RNZAF A-4E Skins RAN and RNZAF Skins for SF1 series A-4E. These are RAN and RNZAF A-4G Skins. There is no A-4G so, but A-4G is very close looking to a A-4E so I made these skins to be used with Thirdwires A-4E Skyhawk. To install just drag and drop them into you A-4E folder. That's it. RAN sold there A-4G's to the RNZAF and once in New Zealand they remain in the RAN two tone grey schemes for a few years till repainted into Euro style Camo. Thanks to Thirdwire their games and to CombatAce forums for without them this would not be possible. James Fox Submitter James Fox Submitted 01/18/2010 Category A-4 Skyhawk Skins

  22. I also have this problem and I believe it could be the same as the "Ghost" problems appearing in some of the Mig 21 early cockpits. I do not know a fix. In previous stickies about the subject it was suggested it might be a Direct X 10 vs 9 issue. I am running on XP Direct X 9, Nvidia 7900 GTX 512mb. So if the Direct X 10 people are not having this problem then that maybe an answer. I am currently just not looking at the "ghosts" and just going out there and Killing Silently. James Fox.
  23. I have all SF 2 games installed as a merged install. I have all of the cockpit ghost as has been previously written about plus these also; See following photos. I do not have access to TK forum, had a log-on once but did not use it for quite sometime, well a very long time and when I try it fails now so I hope TK looks here. I do not seem to be having any of the other problems I read about in the Dec 2009 Patch alert posted here at CombatAce since I added the Dec 2009 update to my merged install. I am using the new weapon and gun editors as well. Now none of the following problems exsisted before SF2 I install except for the F-4m missing lense. It seemed alway to be missing. I am running Win XP AMD 2611 Mhz with one gig of ram and Ge Force 7900 GTX 512 mb. I have updated DX drivers and video drivers, ghosts remain. I really have no idea what maybe causing the ghosts but I know they are not missing textures because they exsisted before SF2I merged install. I was waiting and hoping one of TK's updates might fix the problems, in time TK normally does, but then I noticed stock Skyhawks had developed the problem too. Now what the following pics show do not put me off playing the the games, but it would be nice to have them fixed one day please. James Fox. PS. TK has updated the Skyhawk droptanks, I have updated my droptanks for the A-4k modes and will release soon. Thank You TK.
