Martinsyde upper wing center section fixed: - Opened the LODs with HEX editor - Changed every reference to the upper wing center section to another new bmp fantasy name - Renamed the bmp's - Works now Root-Cause? I've no idea! All the initial references, file formats, etc. were correct. I've just renamed the bmp's to something else...go figure rgds

Hi quack74 - thx for the reply...I can't get it to work ...guess I'm too stupid - It's already defined as 'weapon' (since the Morane is already using it) - Don't care about the color - It show's up as loadout (changed the loadout.ini) - Trying with the Nieuport 11 -> guess I've to change the data.ini....but where? - Added the below entry under 'weapon stations' (of course the attachment_position is not correct, just wanted to check if it shows up at all) - Guess it's not enough, since the node_name does not match with the Nieuport model (???) Do you have any ideas? Thx in advance! Hi everyone not sure if this was asked already (can't find it anyway with the 'search' function). The Morane which can be found here has streamers (defined as loadout). Now assuming I would use the Morane's streamer LOD, would I be able to attach that one to another airplane or even a pilot figure ? Not necessarly as loadout, but maybe fixed ? Can we add the streamer as a second pilot ? ..just thinking out loud here Background: http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/other-wwi-aviation/51742-squadron-leader-id.html

FANTASTIC stuff...thank you soo much

I'm glad you like it....by the way....I'm still adding/changing stuff on it - Railwaybridges - More ships - Various ground objects - Small aerodromes (like in the 'Flanders' topic) - A second Italian map with the Piave river as frontline
-
Finally finished a small personal project. I always wanted a small type of airfield. The big square ones are ok, but that was not always the reality. My inspiration came from the TV (70s) series 'Wings', which features a BE2 squadron and its pilots. Me...I'm happy with the result - Added texture - Defined a 'small airfield ini' - Placed the wonderfull ground objects available here Here we go chaps! Hope you like the result. ...more to follow

Still a long way to go Adding bridges everywhere (not only the big ones as in the above screenies, but also the small ones)....ongoing The cliffs do look good on the screenies but flying above them...well I'm still not too much impressed. Problem is finding the right spot where to change from grass to chalk....ongoing Added already a lot more of AAA...ongoing Adding more stationary ships...ongoing Adding sightseeing spots (churches, castles, etc.)...ongoing Adding more 'no mans land' and changing to a less fix pattern...done Adding more forests...ongoing Changing the water color (ocean, straight o' Dover, not the lakes)...to do Adding a least one airfield in England (training, testbed for ground objects, etc.)...done Improving the Zeppelin aerodromes with more ground objects....to do etc. etc. it never ends.....and by changing stuff in Flanders I find new things to change/add in Italy....ohhh my

Just a small update: - Currently adding rivers (and flattening the riverbeds on the height-map) - Adding more static stuff (new objects from Geezer) - Ships now static as objects (otherwise are showing up on landroutes as 'trucks') - Adding bit of sight-seeing (castles, houses, farms) - Added one airfield in Blighty (just for the fun of it) and a couple of towns, small islands, etc. Upcoming: - Bridges (ahhh everywhere) - Bunkers (ahhhh everywhere) - More sightseeing - Static airships (in the air, apart from the ones on the airfields on the German part) - Static truck convoys - More forests & small / short rivers
-
First of all thank you for the fine collection of objects. But...the bmp's for the standing pilots are missing (should be 'Standing Winter_Pilot copy.bmp') and the map (bmp) they're holding. I know it's tedious stuff to compile, but could you pls provide those missing pieces? thx in advance rgds

View File Planing Maps Hi Everyone I always thought that the planing maps needed a bit of a more 'historical' (oldish) touch. Here are three planing maps for the following terrains: - Flanders - Verdun - Cambrai Installation: 1) Make a backup copy of your existing planing maps (only overwrite if asked if you've already a backup) 2) Drop the files (*.bmp) into the respective terrain folders, like (..\First Eagles\Terrain\Flanders, ...\First Eagles\Terrain\wwiVerdun, etc.) If you don't like....well just delete and replace with the old ones!
